As I sit here this morning trying to decide what to write, my heart feels so heavy. The memories of 9/11 and the grief carried by families of those who loss loved ones that sad day in America...The grief and pain still lingers to this day. Where are we now as America??
And to add to the heaviness in my heart, is the death of Charlie Kirk. A young man who was a positive influence to our youth and to everyone who listened to him. I listened to his podcast regularly and was so very impressed on how he refused to stop speaking the truth. He was a man full of HOPE and some of his last words were testifying that Jesus Christ was his Lord and Savior.

Good morning Shug. We just found out this morning about Charlie Kirk - so I’m still in shock. I’m sad and I’m mad. I really have no words but I agree with all you said. Also as we think of 9-11 let’s not forget the attack on the US embassy in Benghazi on Sept 11, 2012 with 6 brutally killed. May their memory be a blessing.

ReplyDeleteMy heart isn't just breaking, it's shattered, Shug. What has happened to our nation that such a bright light for the youth in our country is snuffed out by a madman? May we continue to pray for Charlie's family that are left behind. God bless them!
