Tuesday News and Monday Reviews.

Welcome Tuesday....

Another gentle rain is falling this morning. Just soft and steady, so I feel like today will be another peaceful today where the weather is concerned.

"Rain is Grace; rain is the sky descending to the earth; without rain, there would be no life."
                John Updike

Monday passed quietly around here, which was fine by me. My brother and sister-in-law came over and we swapped a few stories about the joys and the (creaks) of getting older. We ended up doing a lot of reminiscing about some of Dave's and Sam's High School baseball games. Mostly about the bloopers that happened when they went to playoffs that year.

"We didn't have fancy gear or perfect form, but we had dirt-stained paints, lots of sunflower seeds, and stories that still slide into conversations even today."  "We left the ball on the field after that loss, and headed to Galveston for Vacation."  Dave and Sam!"

I made a pot of carrot, cabbage, chicken and lentil soup that turned out surprisingly delicious!! Just what the doctor ordered and was easy on Sam's stomach.

I also made some great progress on a writing project that I have been working on for a few months. Hopefully I will have this completed in another month. I love writing as I find it to be very relaxing and very enjoyable.

Other news:  I found a new favorite drink that I really like.  I don't often visit Starbucks, but when Sam was having his treatment at the hospital, I needed a refreshing drink. I ordered a Mango Dragon fruit refresher and it was sooo good.  Just enough sweetness to make you feel rejuvenated.

finally for today:   We have two different oncologist appointments:  One at 11:00 to visit with an Oncologist surgeon. The other at 2:00 for an appointment with an Oncologist doctor that will take over the treatment plans for Sam.

Hope each of you has a beautiful day ahead.....one that brings a little sunshine to your heart. May your day be full of sweet surprises that remind you how good life can be.

Shug..

  6. SHUG, your WRITING!!! It is wonderful. It conjures up images in my head and I read it several times. You are so wonderfully descriptive. What will this be, a book or what? You should be published, just things like this on each page to make people feel good. Please let me know how the appointments went, I am praying for Sam every day.

The soup sounded good and glad Sam liked it.
