Hey there friends...welcome to Thursday! Here we are coasting ALMOST into the weekend and I might add...a busy weekend at that. It is WEDDING weekend for our grandson Carson and his lovely bride-to-be, Emily.
Fresh flowers are coming today.....speaking of flowers, the price of these sweet babies has really escalated ↑↑↑↑. A single peony is around $8.50 a stem. Hydrangeas are $3.50 per stem.
Both of these flowers are gorgeous!!
Other News:
We have Hummingbirds!
Our baby boy...(William) and his mom (Emily) flew in for the wedding... We were thrilled to give them hugs. We haven't seen them since Christmas, but we were all smiles yesterday when they came walking in the back door. William was cutting ONE tooth the last time they were home, and he now has 7. WOW!
William's dad (Tucker) is on call at his job this weekend and won't be able to attend the wedding.

Mylee dropped by this morning, before heading out to school....She reminded me that in just a little over a week, she will be a senior!!!
Oh my goodness....how can this be?
Well...that's a wrap for me today...
See y'all tomorrow...
Thanks for spending a few moments of your day with me today. Wishing you all a heart full of peace and a whole lot of HOPE in your pockets.

Family weddings are so fun - witnessing a couple pledge their love and commitment to each other. Also when family members fly in for festivities. You will have a wonderful time and it couldn’t have come at a better time for you after what’s all been going on. Enjoy, relax, laugh, cry, hug and rejoice. ( and take some photos for us to ohh and ah over) 🥀
ReplyDeleteWhat a great adventure for your family this weekend! I think that many cut flowers come from out of the country; maybe the tariffs are affecting the price?
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeletePretty in pink today! I especially like the last flower pic in your header. I hope you come back with wedding photos. Wow, the price of flowers! No wonder all of mine in the house are fake!
ReplyDeleteDang!! O.K. the last comment was me, Ginny. I don't know why they are making me anonymous, but I shall have to remember to sign my name!
ReplyDeleteLooks like soon you will have two Emily's in the family.
ReplyDeleteWhat a precious picture of William.
Have a wonderful, wonderful weekend.
The flowers are gorgeous, but oh my, the price.
P.S. I just caught site of Psalm 73:26 on your sidebar as I was posting my last comment.
ReplyDeleteA God wink, for sure.
I have heard that flower prices are up...and all the Spring weddings always have lots of flowers. Have the bestest time with that sweet William:)
ReplyDeleteHope and Peace to you too my friend.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, those flowers are expensive but will be gorgeous for the tables.
Love the photo of that sweet little William looking out the window. Enjoy your family times but remember to rest and take a deep breath in between your fun duties. Our kids and the grands sure do grow up as fast as my weeds in the backyard do..
Take care
Sue
I wish you a wonderful and joyous weekend. I know the wedding will be lovely. I hope you and Sam have a great time. I know you are happy to see your guests from out of town too! This weekend will fly. The flowers are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteYour next few days are going to be so joy-FULL! Those floral prices actually made me gasp ... but then, doesn't every bride and groom deserve to feel like royalty on their wedding day?
ReplyDeleteLove William's airplane-theme pajama top! I hope the pilot and/or attendants noticed and commented on it.
Sounds like lots of exciting and fun times your way. Enjoy the wedding and wishing you a yummy weekend to boot. Thank you for your comment about Bug. We miss her bunches.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun weekend ahead! Enjoy every minute of it!
ReplyDeleteThe weekend is building up nicely. I hope it all passes off swimmingly and everyone has a wonderful time.
ReplyDeleteThat sure is expensive for those flowers. When mine bloom I should put them up for sale...lol
ReplyDeleteSounds like it's going to be one busy and fun filled weekend for you. Enjoy
Have a fantastic time at your grandson's wedding, Shug! Blessings!
ReplyDeleteThat is the sweetest picture of William looking out the plane window. Yaaay, you got the hummers coming around. That is awesome that five came at one time, what a sight! They are my favorite bird, by the way. The peonies are so pretty. I had a blog friend who absolutely loved these flowers. Wow, I didn't realize they were that expensive. Have a fun weekend, Shug.

How do the kids & grands grow up so fast? Life moves quickly!! Our grandboy in Western NY turned one in Dec. We get to see pics of him running all over their property now! He's so grown ! Congratulations to your senior. Our 5 year old grandson Blake graduate from kindergarten to first grade in two weeks. Flowers are so pricey. I saw $5 bouquets at the store going for top dollar for Mother's Day!
