This morning....Cloudy with a slight chance of rain.
Wedding Day forecast.......upper 70's
This is doable since the wedding is outside tomorrow!
My Kitchen........↓↓↓↓
Fresh flowers EVERYWHERE!
My schedule today..........
1. Pedicure and Manicure
2. Shop for Shoes
3. Put together 15 flower arrangements for the rehearsal dinner this evening.
4. Fancy myself up for the dinner.
It is a beautiful Friday, and such an awesome day to soak in the little luxuries of life! Honestly, it feels pretty good to take some time for myself...(hope that doesn't sound selfish). A much needed pedicure and manicure will most definitely lift my spirits.
I am thankful for today....a day that holds purpose as I create flowers of beauty for Carson and Emily's wedding rehearsal dinner.
Later this afternoon, I plan to fancy myself up and then it will be time to celebrate LOVE, family and all the moments that make life feel a little more sparkly.
Be Blessed today!!

PS: Update on Sam
He had a very good day yesterday and we are praying for the same today and for the days ahead! Wednesday, he had a lot of nausea and was in bed for most of the day, but other than extreme exhaustion, he is doing well. I know that God has heard every prayer and I am so thankful for all the prayers.
So much to do! Yes by all means, carve out a little “me-time” and get the nails done! Great news on Sam. You hadn’t mentioned, but is he able to join in the festivities this weekend? I bet your kitchen smells delightful.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the young couple.
You don't sound selfish at all, Shug. You have to take care of you, or you won't be of any use to those you love. I'll be looking forward to the photos of the wedding, and praying for everyone involved. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteEveryone deserves a little me time, especially in the middle of a wedding week! Sounds lovely! Congratulations to the sweet couple and glad to hear Sam is doing well. Happy Wedding!!
ReplyDeleteI do hope Sam does well with his treatments and doesn't get nauseated through it all. Poor guy, that is an awful thing to go through. Having you there to help him through this really makes all the difference. And no, taking time for yourself is not selfish. In fact, it's important and necessary. We all need to treat ourselves once in a while and do things just for ourselves, as we take care of everything and everyone each and every day. Hope you find some shoes that suit you. They always seem to be the last thing that I buy when picking out an outfit. The flowers are pretty, and I know your bouquets will be fantastic.
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful weekend, Shug.

What an exciting day for you! Hope you are having the best time. And blessings to all of you as you celebrate the special day tomorrow!! ENJOY:)
ReplyDeleteI am glad that Sam feels better and hope it keeps up for the wedding.
ReplyDeleteThe weather sounds gorgeous, and you sound busy.
Of course, you need a manicure and pedicure. Mental health.
Have a wonderful wedding.
I am so glad you are giving daily updates on Sam. You have a busy day for sure! I hope you post the shoes you found and I hope you have a wonderful wedding dinner!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteInteresting that 'shop for shoes' made it to your list. I hope that you're still not needing something for this weekend's event.
ReplyDeleteOh find some old comfy shoes! Thanks as always for the Sam report, I am glad to see you report about how he is doing! Have a blast with the flowers and the best day ever tomorrow:)
ReplyDeleteI hope you found some comfy shoes. I look at Vanna White on Wheel of Fortune and every night I say, Girl get some comfy shoes, you can hardly move around that board anymore! Enjoy you rehearsal and take care. Sam is in my prayers. God bless you.
ReplyDeleteFirst, you are NOT selfish in the least. Smart lady ... so there! (lol)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what shoes you picked and hear all about the dinner. (Is that laughter I hear coming from the west?) So glad Sam's feeling a little better and ready to fully enjoy the festivities. Here's to Carson and Emily!
That doesn't sound selfish at all. You have to take care of yourself to be able to keep on doing for others.
