Worship and Praise.

One of my favorite ways to end the day is by falling asleep to praise and worship music.  For me, this is so comforting as the beautiful words fill my thoughts as the day comes to a close. The worries, the noise, the endless to-do lists all seem to fade into the background. Instead, my heart is reminded of God’s goodness, His faithfulness, and His love that never changes.

Many nights, you’ll find me listening to songs by "CeCe Winans" such as Goodness of God, Believe For It, That’s My King, or Come Jesus Come. These songs have a way of settling my spirit and drawing my thoughts toward heaven. What a blessing it is to drift off to sleep with praise on your lips and gratitude in your heart.

I also love those moments when God places a message on my heart to share with others. It often happens unexpectedly. A thought will come to mind, a scripture will stir my spirit, or a worship song will speak directly to a situation I know someone else may be facing. Those moments remind me that encouragement is a gift meant to be shared. I never know whose day might be brighter, whose burden might feel lighter, or whose faith might be strengthened by a simple post.

One thing I have learned is that worship is powerful. When we’ve prayed all we know to pray, when words fail us, and when our hearts feel weary, worship can carry us the rest of the way. It lifts our eyes from our problems and places them back on the One who holds every answer.

Worship has a way of breaking through fear, discouragement, and heaviness. It reminds us that God is still on the throne and still working, even when we cannot see it.

Tonight, if your heart feels heavy or your mind won’t settle, try turning on a worship song. Let the music minister to your soul. Let the lyrics remind you of who God is. You may discover that worship becomes the prayer you didn’t have the words to speak. And what a beautiful thing it is to fall asleep in the presence of the Lord.
