Hope you all enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving. And to my blogging friends that do not live in the United States, Thank you for your Blessings.
We had the pleasure of having Thanksgiving lunch and dinner, at our daughter and son-in-laws home. They have a beautiful house and there was PLENTY of room for all 22 of us that came that day.
Trista already has her Christmas tree decorated, but that's just what we do. Christmas trees go up before Thanksgiving.
She still had some pumpkins and other Fall decorations mixed in, and everything was perfectly placed.
This is one of my favorites...... Her outdoor tree that is sitting on her side porch. The more lights, the better!!!
It has been a long time since we have had a cold Thanksgiving. I wouldn't say it was Cold....but much cooler than our normal temps.
Are you a giver? I think there are all types of givers and I do believe we all have some kind of giving spirit within us. Some may not know that they have a giving spirit, but when there is a big need, very few people that I know would turn their back on giving to the need.
I am a big giver. I LOVE to give! It's just that simple....I LOVE TO GIVE. I'm certainly not patting myself on the back, cause there have been many times when I tend to give toooooo much, and I end up getting myself in trouble.
I have even found myself asking God why ..... why is it so important for me to be a giver? But....oh my goodness, never would I want the gift of a giving spirit to be taken away.
Giving does not require money or anything expensive. Giving can simply be reaching out to a person in need and giving them a moment of your time or a smile and perhaps saying a prayer with someone.
The best part of being a giver is that YOU (me) are the ones that ends up being Blessed.
Love to you all...
Shug.
I love those gorgeous Christmas trees.

Hi Shug~
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful post! I love that there were a mix of pumpkins and Christmas trees as the decorations! I have a hard time giving up Fall :0) Your daughters home is just beautiful!
We have had unusually warm weather here, no snow at all on today, it was in the 50's! I am hoping for a white Christmas.
There is nothing better than giving, especially this time of year...or any time of year for that fact. I was always told that when you were feeling down or sad, go serve others, your life will immediately be better for it!
Have a wonderful week-end!
Hugs,
Barb
