"Open my eyes that I may see"

I have been doing some Spring decorating, and changing out a few of the Winter pictures that I had hanging.   While lookin through my storage closet, I ran across the little picture which I posted in my header photo.

A blogging friend from several years ago sent me this little painting and I absolutely loved everything about it.

Open my eyes that I may see........

I pray everyday that God will open my eyes to see the depth of HIS word.

Isn't it amazing how the old hymns can speak volumes into our souls.  We only have to be open to hearing the words!

I can only hope that my friend knows how deeply I appreciate this piece of art!

How is it possible for these gorgeous pansies make it through the TEXAS Winter storm.....and a big ol' 50 year old pin oak tree has many dead limbs and damage??

I really do not know.  My pansies in the front flower bed are more beautiful than I have ever seen.  They are growing so much and are full of vibrant flowers.

And.....the blooms on our Redbud tree are absolutely gorgeous this year.  The first year I have ever seen the limbs so full of little buds.

I'm actually very surprised that the redbud tree survived the Winter Storm.  This is what I call SPRING!!!!!!    New life.....  No matter what kind of shape we find ourselves in from the storms of life...God is able to restore and bring New Life!

I am laughing about this photo ↑.   It came up on my camera roll.  It's an (Accidental) picture of the wreath on my front door.  I guess I pressed the camera button without even knowing.  Not bad for an accidental photo.

Hope you all (Y'all) have a super great weekend...

The Sound of running water is so soothing to my soul.  I love rivers, streams, lakes, pools and even puddles!

I honestly believe that my brain chemistry changes when I am near water, wading in a stream, swimming or just hanging out by a river.  The funny thing is:

I can't swim!!  I've never been able to swim.  I can dog paddle and float, but that is about it.

My sweet husband knows how much I love water, so this past October....our pool was finished.  This is more like a sport pool.  Only 5 feet deep, but perfect for us!  I am so excited for the temperature of the pool to reach an above 75 degrees temp, so that I can get in.  Hopefully very soon!!

We have much work to do around the pool like...Landscaping, pots and flowers, 🌸 🌹 🌼 but this will give me plenty to do this summer!!

Came across this picture on Instagram!  Absolutely Beautiful.  I love everything about this photo, especially the big vase of tulips and the black door!!  A stop at Hobby Lobby is on my to do list.....as soon as I feel comfortable driving!!!!

I had cataract surgery on my right eye this past Tuesday and a lens implanted.  I can already see so much better!! My visit yesterday back to see the Dr. revealed that I was very close to 20/20 vision!  My left eye gets done on April 6th.  Looking forward to completely doing away with glasses.

This girl has my ♥️.   She is now 10 months old and is such a little doll.  I'm ðŸ˜¢ that they are so far away from us, but we do get pictures and videos almost every day of Keelen and Emerysn!!

Kids love boxes and isn't it wonderful how they like the little things of life?

 Spring Break ...... and WinterStorm

                 Update!!

Let me start with the "Winter Storm Update."

I'm very SAD 😓 to report that ALL of our shrubs died due to the 1 degree temps that we had for a full week.  My flower beds are EMPTY!!   Everything is gone!

You know what though?  I'm not going to worry about it.  Just gonna plant some grasses and flowers for this year.  Maybe next Fall or even Spring of 22, we will decide to replace all the shrubs.

The trees still look bad, but we can see some buds coming on, so hopefully they will be ok.   It was a very bad Winter storm for Texas!!!!!

Spring Break was this past week and I don't know how it always goes by so fast.  Probably  because we are always so Busy.  Trista and Tori flew out to visit with Tyler and his family for a few days..

Keelen was able to celebrate his Birthday while his "Tweety" aka..Trista was there.

Emersyn....enjoying the beach while her "Tweety and aunt Tori" were out in California...

                            Tweety and Emersyn

Aunt Tori and Keelen enjoying the BEACH!

Back home in Texas....Shanda, Mylee and I shopped for her outfit for a school dance.   So Cute!!!!

These two.....lol.   Shanda and Mylee playing around while we were shopping for a "Mother of the Groom" dress for Trista.

She did not choose this dress....but it really was one of my favorites.   She did find a dress that is beautiful as well.

Spent time during Spring Break getting the Pool ready for Swimming season.  Actually....Mylee did go swimming one of the days.  The pool was very cold, but she stayed in for about 45 min.  Yikes!!

Did I mention we spent a lot of time CLEANING out Flower Beds during Spring Break??  Oh my aching back!!

WE all had a great week....just like we always do!!

Hope your Spring Break was just as productive as ours was and that you enjoyed every minute of it...
