PS......I love posting about family for the simple reason that I enjoy having all the memories printed in a book.  If you've never had your blog made into a book, then you should definitely get one made..

 Shrooms 💬........ aka: Mushrooms.

I love eating mushrooms, especially on pizza.  However, I know NOTHING about Mushrooms.

I just know that they are tasty!

Take a look at all of these little cuties.

Our Daughter and Son-in-law where cleaning a portion of their property this past weekend, and they sent me these pictures of all the mushrooms that they came across.

They are all so unique and colorful.

I am especially fond of these orange mushrooms.  Must be the season?!

I have never seen any of these before and I'm guessing the reason why is because I DO NOT GO OUT IN THE WOODS during the Summer.

🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍

I'm too afraid of Snakes!

I'm glad they found these beautiful little fungi's.

"Why did the mushroom go to the party?"
Because he's a FUN-guy

Blessings,

 Charcuterie Board.......

I have a very difficult time pronouncing this word.

Shaar-koo-tr-ee

I think it is a French word.

Meats, Cheeses, Fruits, Olives, Pickles, Jams, Jellies, nuts, honey, and the list can include whatever you want to add.

Oh...and Crackers AND...all kinds of breads.

~~

This particular Charcuterie Board was made by our daughter (Trista) this past weekend.  The weather over the weekend was so nice and so they enjoyed a Friday night meal on their back porch.

Turns out, that this is a favorite meal that they both enjoy.

Even with all of the cheese and the processed meats, this actually has to be a bit healthier than mine and Sam's favorite food.......TEX-MEX!

I might just have to get Trista to show me how to prepare one of these

Charcuterie Boards

Hugs to all.....

 My header picture was from yesterday......... A Saturday morning, down at the Farm, fishing!

The lake was so peaceful and there was such a cool breeze.  If the fish had not been biting, I would have just relaxed there on the boat and maybe closed my eyes.

The fish WERE biting and I had the BEST of what I call LAZY fishing.  I would catch them and Sam would take them off for me!  LOL.   I caught 14 brim and Sam caught 3.  YEP.....  I loved  being able to brag that I "Out Fished" him!!

By this time..... he had let me out on the pier and he was getting ready to load the boat.

Life is good when you can go fishing with your sweetheart, on a nice Saturday morning, and be the Queen of fishing!!

Hugs to my friends..

 Look how adorable this cute, little, purple, pineapple looking plant is...

This is definitely in the pineapple  family.......I don't think!

A friend of mine sent this picture to me this past weekend.  They were out at their Deer Lease in Sweetwater, Texas.   This is a place that I have absolutely NO desire to go to,  I don't even like to drive through the area.

Why?  Because this town is the host to the World's Largest Rattlesnake Roundup!!!!!!!   NO, NO, NO....not a place for me to visit.

Our granddaughter was out there at the deer lease as well.    Oh my, I worried about her the entire time.   She's one that loves nature and even though she is 18, I do know her well, and I know that she's not scared of getting out there to get done what needs to be done before hunting season.

ME....I would never, ever have gotten out of the truck.

I'm pretty sure that the plant is some type of thistle.....and they have sharp little  needle like  T H I N G S  on them.   As pretty as they are, I'll just leave them alone, just like I will leave that area to the Brave Hunters....

 A look at how dry it has been in East Texas......

However, we woke up this morning to Rain.....and how sweet it is!

I heard thunder all through the night and can I tell you, the sound of thunder makes for the BESt sleep.

So much negative is happening in our world these days.....    It is very difficult to Think, Talk and Feel Positive....especially if you are listening to the news!!

I no longer listen to the media and all the negativity!

~~~
Back to the rain......
Rain is much needed.....but I sure wish our pool was finished.  It now has a lot of rain water in it.
Life is Good......
