Cultivating Good Habits

While I was kidding around at my Doctors visit yesterday....about the long wait in the (4) white wall room....I must say that this is a Dr. who takes his time with his patients.  I appreciate this!

Honestly....This Dr. had the BEST bedside manners that I could have possibly ask for.  I would highly recommend him!!

This is something that I try to do each day....but as of late....I must admit, that I have let myself down.

I have not been very appreciative of my challenges in life.  Sounds crazy doesn't it....for a person to be grateful for challenges?!?!

But you know what?  It is through the challenges that we can become a stronger person.

I have looked at all the "RAIN" that we have had, with dread of another gloomy day.  Instead...I should have been meditating on the freshness of the rain and Thanking God for every drop.

Gratitude can turn a Negative into a POSITIVE.  I would encourage everyone to take a moment each day....to jot down the things that you are grateful for.

List them over and over and again! In doing so, it allows us to cultivate the habit of being responsive to the joys of life!

Have a Happy Day!!

  1. Here is what James 1 :2-4 says. "Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way." So you are exactly right! Also when we give thanks, we get joy. We think of all the good instead of the bad. But it is hard to not get down! I love visiting and seeing your beautiful lavender polka dots and tulips. GORGEOUS.

  4. I do believe this very true. Our doctor is the same way...he is amazing along with wonderful bedside manner. And I'm sure since he talks with his patients he could be late for the next one. Smile... We certainly are thankful for this wonderful doctor!

    Blessings,

  6. You are absolutely right about the attitude of gratitude... but, I have to admit that the WEEKS of rain was wearing me thin (not in a good way. ha!).

It does feel like they have totally forgotten you in the little white rooms sometimes! Glad you are recovering well. Keep on keeping on! blessings ~ tanna
