"Deer Season" Are you kidding Me?

Hey .......I'm not trying to brag or anything, but who needs a deer lease?  Who needs a deer stand when you can simply stay in the comforts of your vehicle, listen to music, and come upon deer like these?

(I posted some of these pictures several months ago, but thought the deer hunters might enjoy seeing them again!)

Did I hear someone say "Deer Season?"   What is it that all these guys do when they spend hours setting up their deer stand and getting the lease ready for the season?  Why not just drive down the road?  I promise it will cost less!

I can honestly say, that this picture ranks way up at the top when it comes to being my best.  ~ No ~ ...this picture was not taken at a deer lease.  It was not taken at one of those ranches where the deer are just laying around everywhere.  It was not taken on some kind of  deer reserve...

The pictures that I am posting today where taken in a neighborhood down in Austin, Texas.  These deer just came out of no where and we could not believe they were standing right there within picture  range from us.

I snapped these shots last August while we were driving down the street.  Sam and I had been to check on the fig trees and on the way back, we decided to make a small detour through the country.  This is what we came upon.....I know Deer Season started yesterday and thought you guys might enjoy these pictures....

A cute little fellow.......

Wouldn't you like to have these in your front yard?

Throwing these pictures in for free....The fig trees!

Figs!!

A Thankful Spirit:

Make it a habit to Thank and Praise God every single day for Whatever happens to you....

If there are difficult times in your life, then Praise God in the same manner that you would Praise Him if something Great just happened to you.

If you thank Him in ALL things and you Praise Him in ALL things, then you have the opportunity to turn your Whatever into a BLESSING!

Trust Him when dark doubts invade your thoughts.  Trust Him when your strength is weak.  Trust Him at all times!

........Lord, I want my heart to continually be filled with Praise and Thanksgiving to You.  Keep me anchored in the thought that all You do is for my good.  Only you are deserving of my Praise and Adoration...

Gifts.....

Gifts....I love gifts!  Who doesn't?

Already, kids eyes are glued to the TV as commercials fill their little minds with all kinds of WANTS and imaginations of this and that.....

I get so ticked just listening to Mylee each day as she proclaims what she wants for Christmas or for her Birthday....I'm talking about a 3 year old here.  During every single toy commercial, she says "I need dat for my birthday."
If I don't say something she gets upset so I just usually respond by saying "OK."

One day not long ago, I answered Ok and her reply was "Don't say dat OK."  In other words, she wanted me to say Yes we will get dat.....not just OK..  (Pretty Smart)

Anticipation.....we all wait with anticipation to open gifts...Something about gifts makes our hearts beat a little faster.  I remember a few years ago, it was the day after Thanksgiving, and the girls and I had decided to jump into that crazy mix of hustle and bustle of the shopping frenzy to see what it was all about.  I am thinking that we probably left the house around 4:00 in the morning because that was what everybody else was doing!

Our first stop was the mall....we made our entrance, got our free gift and was heading back out the door.  Out in the parking lot, below my feet, was a beautiful one hundred dollar bill.  Did I keep it? I know this will come as a surprise to you, but,  YES I did!  However, I did split it with Trista and Shanda.

You would not believe the excitement that day out in the parking lot of a mall.....That little gift made our day!  It was well worth the couple hours of sleep that we lost in order for us to be there at the exact time that the lost 100 dollar bill needed a home.

Wouldn't it be nice to find a gift like this everyday?  Whether you realize it or not, we not only receive A GIFT everyday, but we are surrounded by GOD'S ABUNDANT SUPPLY OF GIFTS!

There are gifts hidden everywhere and we have access to all of them.  First of all, we have the ultimate gift of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.....and then, we are privileged to be able to accept the gift of Salvation.....

It us up to us to decide if we want to accept these FREE gifts or completely deny them....I have accepted Both of these Priceless gifts and each day I look forward to receiving all the other gifts that God has in store for me.....I want to enjoy these gifts and I want to be able to share them with others...

Shug Sez.....

Everyday, Every minute, Every Breath is truly a gift from God.  Open them up...Enjoy them!

Has Someone Stolen Thanksgiving?

Has time already changed?  Did I oversleep by say about a month?
Have they cancelled Thanksgiving?  Has someone stolen Thanksgiving??

Yesterday, we had a well needed rainy day and the temperatures even dropped a few degrees.  It was cool and with the overcast Sky's, it was a great day to enjoy a warm bowl of soup and just lounge on the sofa.

Even though it was rainy, Sam and Tucker decided we needed to go into town.  The two of them really had one main objective, and that was the sporting stores.  Oh yes, Academy and Gander Mountain was exactly what they had on their minds.

I wasn't sure that I wanted to trail them around while they looked at every single broad head arrow and shopped for anything and everything that has to do with Bow Hunting.
It seems that "Macy's" was calling my name, so the two of them dropped me off and went on their happy little way...

To my surprise, as I opened the doors and made my way down the very first isle of the store, I was greeted with "Christmas Music."
What?  "Christmas Already?"  It just did not feel right... I couldn't even enjoy singing along with  ..."It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas"  the words just didn't seem to feel right for that particular moment.....

I am well aware that the retail stores are in some kind of race to see who can put their Christmas decorations out the earliest, but come on......Christmas Music a day or two after Halloween??  MY opinion is that they need to at least give us time to put away the costumes.....

Not only was the Christmas music playing, but I am almost positive that who ever was in charge of the thermostat must have been tuned in to the weather Chanel out of Minnesota.....I promise, it had to have been at least 78 or 80 degrees in the store.  The only other explanation is that they must have mistaken the rain for SNOW....

My two guy shoppers that dropped me off were so very sweet.  They were giving me PLENTY of time to do whatever it was that I needed to do in Macy's.  By the time they picked me up, there was not a dry spot on me.  Not because I waited out in the rain for them to get there, but because I was so HOT ~~~~~

Ok....Mr. "Macy's" Manager.......This is Texas and it doesn't snow here very often.  It has only been November for 2 days now, and the Turkey hasn't even been smoked yet.....

Please don't cancel Thanksgiving.  We have a lot to be Thankful for......

Shug Sez........

There is a lot to be grateful for, so why not give Thanksgiving it's Due?

Picture This or Picture That

Picture This, and Picture That.

Picture.....
What am I talking about??
Am I thinking too deep again? I will be the first to admit that sometimes I do spend a lot of time thinking about certain topics and usually the thoughts that I come up with are way out there  ~~~  But this time, I think I'm right.

Can any of you connect the words Picture and being judgemental.....Do these words have anything in common.  In my opinion they do.  We judge other people by what we see. The lack of experience in a particular struggle causes us to see a different picture from those that may have some kind of difficulty in their lives....

It is way too easy for us to form immediate Opinions. ...A great deal of the time our judging of others is actually Mis-Judgements or unjust judging.

Usually this is because we do not have ANY knowledge about their personal lives or the events that have led them to end up where they are at the time.

Some families have unusual situations that are simply the results of life...

Some people, Some families wear lot bigger shoes than what others might think.  As a matter of fact, some shoes are so big that it would be insane for anyone to even try them on. In other words, it's best if other individuals just kept their feet in there on shoes!

When looking through the lens of a camera, the picture may seem to be blurred or out of focus to us.  The very first thing we try to do is zoom in to prove that we can get a better shot! Same way with the shoe...We try to prove that we can wear that shoe better than those that have it.....

This is exactly the way it is in life..Those that like to judge usually believe that they are in control and can do a better job at solving Whatever .....

Every thing is not always as it appears to be...But, I can tell you this... God places certain situations in each of our lives.  Some of them may be more difficult than those of our neighbors.  God,...He has a reason and we are not to question those reasons..... and those that like to judge SHOULD not be questioning God's reasons either!!

Shug Sez....

Each of us can be sure that if God sends us on stony paths, He will provide strong shoes!!
