I did it......

I sure did.......I completed 48 (long) hours
of not opening my computer!

This past Saturday, my girls were giving me a hard time about being addicted to my computer and to facebook!!

I had to prove them wrong!!!!!

I decided that I would challenge myself.....No Camera, No Computer, and No facebook or safari on my phone for the full 48 hours.

I would have included talking on the phone, but I have to have it nearby, just in case I get a call from my dad.

Has anyone out there missed me???

I'm happy to be back, but just to set the record straight.....
I am not addicted to technological devices!!

Free Stuff......

I'm am so excited about this!!  What a wonderful way to reach out to our community and to help others.   At this health fair, kids...... kindergarten through the 12th grade, can receive FREE eye exams, hearing test, dental checks, hair cuts, socks, backpacks filled with school supplies, and a free meal.

We have 500 backpacks, filled and ready to be given out.  I can't wait to see the smiles on so many of the children's faces as they are given these wonderful gifts.

A lot of hard work has gone into the planning of this event,  and a lot of people have made monetary sacrifices in order to supply these free gifts......

But........I must say, this is really the easy part.

It's so easy to get out there and to tell people about free items being given away.....and when it comes to free stuff, the news travels fast.

Sometimes......it's more difficult to spread the news of God's FREE love, than what it is to spread the news of free worldly things.

We are hoping that through this Health Fair......that each of us will be able to share with those who attend, The love of Jesus Christ.    Spiritual Food and Prayer are always FREE!!  We only need to be willing to spread the news!!

Hope you all enjoy a fabulous weekend!!

My New Ride......

Who can guess what this is?   Isn't she lovely?   Pink and yellow with pink roses.......just my style!!

Please notice the long stemmed rose on the rail.......

Nice big comfy seat!!!!  With Roses!!

My New bike.......well, it's not exactly brand new, but it's new to me.    After we returned from vacationing in Florida.....Sam got online and started shopping for bikes.

I so enjoyed riding the bike that the girls rented while we were at the beach, so I quickly found myself having an itch for a bike....... Not just any bike..    I wanted a PRETTY bike.

A couple of Saturday's ago, Sam saw this bike listed on Craig's List.    He made the call to the lady and within 30 minutes, this bike was in the back of my SUV......headed home with me.

I am now the proud owner of this beauty.

Riding it has been so much fun.   You know, riding a bike is something that once you learn how to do it.....you never lose the talent.

Our little town has one parade each year, and it is always  in October.   I can so see myself.....with my bike.....in the parade, this coming October.

I'll have the kick stand down and me and the bike will be riding, on the trailer......  Sam can use his John Deere Gator to pull the trailer, the bike, and me!!

Hope you all enjoyed seeing pictures of my new ride!!

Thursday, July 31, 2014

Good morning!  I woke up during the wee hours of the night, to the sound of Thunder.   This made my night restful.

We have so much to be thankful for, here on the last day of July, 2014.   Our temps for yesterday ended up being in the 80's and the weather guys are predicting the same for today.

I took my dad for a drive through the country side yesterday, and he just kept saying over and over......gosh, the grass is green.    Our area has been fortunate enough to have received several nice rains.....lately.

Green ...... all around

Such an unusual July......but, you want find me complaining!!

Enjoy your day...
