News from my part of the world. I finally feel good!!
Who knew that a little stomach bug could plant a person on the sofa for days? ✋🏻 Well, now I do! One minute I was making plans and feeling productive, and the next I was negotiating with a blanket and wondering if I could make it to the bed. The weakness that follows one of those bugs is no joke. I wasn't sure if I was wearing concrete shoes or wading through thick molasses.
Thank goodness the bug has moved out......I was beginning to think it had signed a long term lease around here...
One good thing is: I got caught up on plenty of sleep.
Here is a funny: About 2 weeks ago, my doctor ordered a HOME sleep apnea test for me. Guess what? It arrived last Wednesday!! You have a 10 day window of doing the test and getting the device sent back. It would have been nice if I had been able to connect the device during all the time I was sleeping on the sofa, but I did not even feel like hooking it up.
So....tonight, I will be sleeping in the guest bedroom (With NO FAN) and will be wearing the device. I have to have it sent back by Friday. 😳
Can I sleep without a FAN? I'm not sure, but we shall see.
Stayed tune.....
Shug.....

Thanking God you're back on the "well" road!
ReplyDeleteI'm so curious about that sleep apnea test, tho' I'd probably be crazy cranky without my fan. Wishing you pleasant dreams, and I look forward to hearing more!
Blessings, dear lady!
I'm so glad that you are doing well now. That was quite the "bug"! In times like that probably the best thing you can do is sleep, so I am glad to hear that you got caught up on your sleep. Praying that you sleep well without the fan.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad it is over with!! It can leave you as weak as a baby. I have never heard of a home apnea test. We both had to go to the sleep lab for ours. They put sensors all over our heads
ReplyDeleteI'm pleased you're feeling better. That wading through treacle feeling is awful.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you are finally feeling better. It's no fun being sick ANYTIME! And good luck with your apnea test. I did one of those and failed. But I also failed at using the CPap machine later. I am too claustrophobic, but haven't tried to see if I can get the electronic device implanted. So I just muddle along and sleep the best I can. I do hope you will have good results and not need the machine. Praying for you!
ReplyDeleteHallelujah! I hope your apnea test goes well
ReplyDeleteI am glad you are feeling better now! Those bugs are awful! I hope wearing the device goes well.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness that "bug" has departed and you can feel like yourself again, Shug. Yes, let us know how the sleep apnea gadget works for you. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteYAY!! You are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteGood luck without the fan, not sure I could do it. Hee Hee!
xo
So glad you are feeling better, Shug. I have loved ones who snore, and one has sleep apnea. I do hope all goes well with this home apnea test, and it will be nice to turn the fan or a/c back on in that Texas heat. Take care, dear Shug.
ReplyDeleteBye, Bye, Bye Bug !!!
ReplyDeleteSo glad it has departed.
Praying for you as you visit the guest room. Hopefully it will be cool enough for you and that you will have a pleasant sleep.
(((hugs)))
Sue
It's good to hear that you are feeling better and have said goodbye to the bug!!!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry you've been under the weather. Whatever the bugs are that are going round are taking their good time. Several people I know have been down for count and couldn't figure out why it took so long to feel better. Take care of yourself. Good luck with sleeping without the fan and your test.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're feeling better. A stomach bug is so miserable. I have a fan on year round so would struggle with that, but I guess would muddle through. Take care.
ReplyDeleteDear Shug, what a blessing, dear friend, that you are feeling better! Stomach bugs are horrible. God bless you, and I pray you continue to feel better and better. Sending you much love.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are feeling better. Stomach bugs are the pits.
ReplyDeleteI never knew they had home sleep apnea tests. Thanks for sharing that bit of info. It's definitely something I'm interested in checking out.
The picture of you and Sam with the sunset behind you is so pretty. I don't think I've noticed it before, but it's really lovely.
So happy to hear you’re feeling better Shug! It sounds like it was no joke. Geesh. I guess extra rest isn’t a bad thing, but not the way you want it. I think I need to do a sleep apnea test too. Matt sleeps with earplugs! 😂 Good luck with the test. 💗
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you are feeling better! I also hope you survive sleeping without your fan :)
ReplyDeleteBut of course the sleep apnea test would show up while you were under the weather. Glad you finally kicked it and are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteI missed you! Welcome back! Good luck with the device and the heat.
