Last Thursday night was "Senior Night" on the Softball field. Just one of the several events that will be happening until the end of the school year.
Our granddaughter (Mylee Jo) stood proudly among the six seniors being recognized. These girls are not just teammates -- they've been playing side by side since their freshman year. Through early practices, long bus rides, tough losses, and sweet victories....they have shared so very much! One of the highlights of their journey together was winning state their sophomore year.
Each senior had a table set up, filled with snapshots of their softball journey. Photos from younger days, action shots on the field, medals, an all kind of mementos that told a story of years of dedication and their love for the game. More than just a display, their boards were a timeline of hard work and some really great friendships.
It was a beautiful ceremony and it was exciting just to see how much they have grown and how far they have come.
Memories have certainly been made for each of them, and for their families as well.
💛💛💛
Keep shining....you make this corner of the internet brighter for me...
Shug....💛

Wonderful memories. I hope the friendships will remain, too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun tradition this is. I can see that these girls form deep bonds in these years together. Go Mylee!
ReplyDeleteYou certainly can tell by the demeanor of these girls that they have truly bonded in what should be lasting friendships, Shug. Mylee is such a beautiful, poised young lady, and I feel confident that she will make the most out of life. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteOh such special memories! The time flies by and taking these moments to just sit and treasure it are priceless. Love the first pic with all the girls being sassy - the cutest pic ever! Blessings to them all and their journeys forward. 💗
ReplyDeleteWhat a splendid sisterhood!
ReplyDeleteFor some reason, this reminds me of a favorite 2009 (true) book -- The Girls from Ames. Like those 11 girls' 40-year friendship, if Mylee's friends' lives take different directions, I hope their connections will go on (and on)!
How wonderful, they look so happy and I hope their friendships last for their lifetime. They have a strong foundation for that to happen. I truly enjoyed this post so uplifting and positive.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a wonderful tradition and the love and friendship that team has for each other is obvious. The rest of their school year is going to fly by but the cherished memories will live on and on.
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting us in on what makes you grin from ear to ear.
Sue
Prayers continuing for Thursday

ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful day for Mylee. Love the group picture, and they look like they're a close bunch. Their uniforms are awesome. Their work and dedication really paid off when they won state their sophomore year. The photo boards are a fun way to display all the excitement they had playing baseball through the years. She will always remember these special Senior days when she goes on to the next phase in her life. I really love that family photo, with the sun streak shining right on you. : )
ReplyDeleteWhat an exciting time for Mylee.
ReplyDeleteSenior nights like these are very special. I like the tables they had set up for each girl. I am thinking we need to do that here!
