I love the reminder in this simple picture: "Same tree, different season. Remember, everything is temporary."
One side is bursting with green, full of life and possibility. The other side is bare and stripped down to its bones.
At first glance, it feels like two different stories, but in truth, it's the same tree, just living through a different chapter.
We are not all that different. Some seasons in life feel abundant and overflowing with goodness. Other times, things look stark and empty. Makes you wonder if new life will ever return. Much like the tree, we go through cycles that will test us. And then there are cycles that strengthen us. These are the times that remind us that change is part of the process.
The beauty is in remembering that neither season is permanent. When life is overflowing, it's nice to savor it with gratitude. When life feels barren, we can lean on hope, knowing that renewal is on its way.
The seasons prove that God didn't design anything to stay stuck forever....life is always moving, shifting around and growing, even when we can't yet see it.
The same tree that has been full of green this summer....is the same tree that will be bursting with orange, yellow and red leaves in just a few weeks. It is also the same tree that will look lifeless during the winter months...but yet it will burst forth with freshness in the Spring.
Same for us!!
Shug....
The seasons of life....each one unique....but we always miss elements of the season before. <3 <3 Love, Andrea xoxo
ReplyDeleteSo true - beautiful in every season. Bob and I were out on a walk the other day and noticed a beautiful old tree. I told him that trees are often more beautiful the older they get and I think that's true of people too.
ReplyDeleteI love this! In Scripture, the idea of seasons is often used metaphorically to describe different phases or experiences in life. In Ecclesiastes it says there is a time for everything, a season for every activity under the heavens. Our life involves various phases, each with its own purpose and significance. As believers we need to be rooted in Christ, much like a tree planted by streams of water that yields fruit in its season.
ReplyDeleteI love trees! 🌲
You have no idea how badly I needed to read this today. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful-thank you!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a beautiful reminder… I love how God uses creation to teach us about His timing and faithfulness. Just like the tree, our seasons don’t last forever, and each one has a purpose. What a comforting truth to hold onto when life feels heavy...renewal is always coming!
ReplyDeleteLeaning on Hope . I really like that.
ReplyDeletePraying for you and Sam in this season of life. Praying that things will move forward and that the spots will be gone for Good !

The season's prove that God did not design anything to stay stuck forever... life is always moving, shifting around and growing, even if we cannot yet see it.
ReplyDeleteOh how I needed this reminder today. Thank you friend.
Carla
Love this post and the reminder. (Saving it to my favorites folder.)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
Such a beautiful reminder of life's inevitable changes, Shug. We may be in the bare bones winter of things, yet hope in God will see us through until spring is here once again. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely post and excellent reminder 😊 ❤️ Change can be very good and positive if we allow God to guide us and let nature take its time.
ReplyDeleteYou found a wonderful image to illustrate the subject! Life is all about change. Seems to be a bit harder as I get older. A year passing seems like just a few months. I love your cute owl header!!!
ReplyDeleteI, too, so needed to read your words! Sometimes messages that resonate most deeply don't come from the pulpit.
ReplyDeleteThank you for this update on Sam. I imagine, like me, you sometimes feel like an air traffic controller, trying to coordinate it all. Still praying!
Oh it seems like the changes either come one after another or so slow you cannot stand it. Thanks for the update on Sam, waiting is very hard. Praying!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful post, Shug. Thank you for the reminder.
ReplyDeleteEverything is temporary - the good and the bad. Life moves on for all of us. This is a wonderful post.
ReplyDeleteDay to day, it's easy to think that things will be the same way forever, but your post is a reminder to take a longer term view.
ReplyDeleteLove the visual of the tree for such lovely words of wisdom. Continued prayers for Sam and hope you had a lovely long weekend. Blessings always my Lovely. xoxo
ReplyDeleteThis is a great reminder, Shug, thanks for sharing and in such a visual way. Keeping you all in my prayers, thanks for the update on Sam.
