Watermelons and The Crown

Can you believe that I actually had to look at the calendar this morning to see what date it was?  The days are passing by fast...

A couple of weeks ago I began watching "The Crown" on Netflix and I suddenly found myself curtsying when I walk past the fridge. I guess I need to add a strand or two of jewels to my daily outfit.   Honestly, this show is a bit dramatic and I suppose this could be why I am enjoying it.

Do any of you all watch Netflix? Drop your favorite movies, shows or even documentaries in the comments for me, Please.   I'm always open to some good recommendations.  I'm not big on scary movies, nor do I enjoy watching war movies.  If only I could find a few series  like Anne with a E........

Switching gears here....from Buckingham Palace to Back Porch snacks.

We have been enjoying the sweetest, juiciest watermelon lately.  I mean, the kind that runs down your elbows and makes you forget about all your dignity for a solid five minutes.  I love a cold watermelon with salt.  Raise your hand if you eat salt on your watermelon or cantaloupe.

speaking of Watermelons...... At the Methodist church in a neighboring town, they have a big refrigerator box  for people to come by and get grocery items if needed.  This past week, a local farmer had several watermelons that he needed to get rid of before they went bad.  He left 10 of the big melons on the sidewalk near the giving box, for families who might want ONE.  Would you believe that someone came and took all 10 melons for themselves??  I figured that they took them and are trying to sell them.

I found this to be very sad..  I mean, who does things like this?

🌼

Well....for now, I am moving on!  Moving on straight to bed!  It has been a long day and my eyes are begging for sleep.  Will talk to you all tomorrow...

Shug....

  1. We don't get Netflix, but I wish we did. Gosh, this must have been painful for Sam! I hope he gets a good night's rest and his fever is gone by morning.
