Our Family Photo
Our military crew was not able to come home for the wedding....😞. Missing, was Tyler, Emalee, Keelan, Emersyn and William.
This morning, I am going "Wedding Dress" shopping. Not for me!! lol 😂
Our youngest grandson and his fiancee,
(Pictured on the front row on the far left)
are getting married this coming September.
Trey and Savannah's wedding is set for
September 20, 2025.
WOW......This year has been filled with sweet joy....and we are only halfway through.
So far, we have seen a blend of JOY, gratitude, and YES, a few bumps along the way.
Of course, not every chapter has been easy. Sam's health has brought its share of concern, but even in those moments, we have felt God's nearness. We've learned to lean in and hold on to hope a little tighter.
Still, through it all, I rejoice in knowing that the year isn't finished....there is more to come as we will soon be welcoming another future bride into the family.
.....more love to come!!
Our family tree has a long way to go and I believe that every branch ahead will be filled with great promise.
Every day may not be the best, but there's something good in every day....The BEST is still unfolding.
I am so excited about continuing to turn the pages with gratitude in my heart, totally trusting the Author of my story. This year, with all its joy and every twist in between, is still being written and I believe it's going to be a good one.
And today, I'm feeling especially happy to have been invited to spend time with the girls as Savannah searches for the most perfect wedding dress. I think of it as being another beautiful memory in the making and one that will leave a sparkle in my spirit and a permanent place in my heart.
Happy Thursday dear Friends...
Shug 💛
**Update on wedding dress shopping...
She said YES to the DRESS..
The wedding picture is so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSo much excitement in your family and I think it's a huge honor that you get to go along dress shopping.
Yes, God is near in good times and hard ones. So thankful we can count on that!
Lovely photo and your dress is so feminine. What a beautiful family God has given to you and Sam.
ReplyDeleteI love that photo of the family at the wedding. Can you believe when Shaye and Andy got married - they did not get one like this. :( Oh well.
ReplyDeleteWell, the next wedding is my granddaughter's due date for Mackjenzie. It would be funny if they were both the same day!
Oh, how exciting...another wedding in the mix, and you get to go along for when she "says YES to the dress!" What fun that would be! Not having any daughters and when our sons got married that wasn't a "thing" to do I guess, so I've missed out on that exciting event. You are truly blessed! Yes, I love how God gives us blessings to mix in with the times of sorrow and/or difficulty...He knows how to balance things out so we can find joy in the journey. You have a beautiful family! I LOVE the family picture. What a treasure for sure! May God be with you each step of the way every day. (((hugs)))
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely photo of a beautiful family! And you can just see the joy. Those moments are so precious and how wonderful that there is more to look forward too. :) Continued prayers for Sam's health. May this summer ahead bring so many wonderful blessings your way. xoxo
ReplyDeleteThat is one Gorgeous Family!!! What a wonderful picture and I love your dress Shug. The colors remind me of ice cream.
ReplyDeleteA new bride to be, how fun...
Its quite a privilege to go on the wedding gown hunt with them. I loved doing it with our granddaughter 3 years ago.
(((hugs)))

thecontemplativecat here. "... turn the pages with gratitude in my heart" Great words to remember. Wedding! Happy days!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo of a beautiful family.
ReplyDeleteI remember going on wedding gown hunt with a couple of my granddaughters. Fun memories.
Love "Every day may not be the best, but there's something good in every day."
What a beautiful family photo. Keeping Sam in my prayers that he will get well soon.
ReplyDeleteYours is such a beautiful family, Shug! I'm so touched that you were invited to witness Savannah's 'Cinderella' moment!
ReplyDelete"Lean in and hold on!" Yessss. Amen!
Trey & Savannah are such a beautiful couple. And of course I want to see the dress. The one she is wearing in the photo is very pretty. The group photo turned out so well. Ginny
ReplyDeleteNeither daughter in law asked me to go dress shopping with them, which was probably because both of them lived out of town. I have one more chance, if Youngest Son ever gets married
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy for you all. ❤️
ReplyDeleteA beautiful family grows even larger! So much fun to help a bride choose her wedding dress and that Savannah welcomed y'all with such delight, Shug. By the way, our middle grandchild's name is Savannah, too, but mine is no where near marriageable age - LOL! Blessings!
ReplyDelete"Every day may not be the best, but there's something good in every day." There's such truth in these words.
ReplyDeleteThe family photo is beautiful. I think the last wedding I was at was my sons and that's been a couple years.
ReplyDeleteWonder family photo! Congratulations to all! I remember going with Samantha for her wedding dress hunt! lol Fun!
ReplyDeletehugs

You have a beautiful family, Shug and congratulations to the newly married couple and the newly engaged. These are really exciting times for your family! I think it's lovely that you were invited along on dress day. What a treat...and please thank all your family members who serve for me. While we have holidays to commemorate the big sacrifices they make for us, I think we sometimes forget all the small sacrifices they make along the way, like missing special family moments. 💕
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely photo!! And now you got to go wedding dress shopping! How exciting!
