Monday Morning Musings!

Whew! If weekends had a fast forward button, ours got stuck! It was a good one full of smiles and built on sweet memories.

First up: Prom Night!

Our beautiful Mylee twirled into the spotlight, looking absolutely stunning. (Yes, sharing a few photos because it is practically the law when your granddaughter looks so gorgeous!) It is funny how you blink, and somehow, the little one who used to play dress-up is suddenly grown up, wearing a beautiful prom gown.

Next came Graduation Party mode. Family, lots of food, sweet decorated cookies, and of course, friends......were all involved. My sister-in-law had a huge charcuterie of foods laid out on her bar!!  How great it was to celebrate Lanna and Brilee.

                       My brother 's family

Meanwhile, back at the homestead, my "Peggy Martin" roses have been putting on a big show. They are bursting with blooms and climbing high. I planted these just last year and wow, they have really grown.

                                                          Roses are in the background.....

Somewhere between all of this, we snuck in a lovely dinner with our grown-up kids at Mario's. This is an Italian restaurant that we frequently visit.  So good! Real Italian food!

I never take a nap during the day, but I will admit that there were a few strategically placed naps along the way. You know it has been a great weekend when the sofa calls your name.  Seems like my name was being called a lot.

All in All, it was a weekend to tuck into the memory book! Roses, ribbons, ravioli, fancy dresses, family and friends......just a reminder for me that these are the moments that truly bloom.

Another reminder that life does not slow down, but it does get sweeter. I am just so thankful for it all...

shug....🌼

BTW:  I also snuck in a pedicure!! How? I do not know, but one thing for sure.....my toes look and feel better.

Mylee looks wonderful in her Prom dress. What a night to remember. The spread looks really yummy. Your roses are so pretty, and a striking color. I would have never guessed they were roses. The Italian food sounds delicious. Italian is my fav. And pretty orange toenails to start the week. ; )

Have a beautiful week, Shug.

It was a fun but very busy weekend. Sometimes those just happen. Hope you enjoy your week too Carla

Thank you Sheri. She had a really nice time even though she went with friends rather than a date. This is an older Italian restaurant, but there food is rich in flavor.

I even had a short nap this morning...which is really unusual. I took some NyQuil for my allergy cough and I guess this is what is making me sleepy. lol

So many splendid events packed into just one weekend - I'd want to take a nap, too! Mylee is such a beautiful young lady, though I know I've said that before, it bears repeating. It was so nice to see a photo of your brother's wonderful family, too. Have a blessed week, Shug!

Oh so much beauty, your granddaughter, so lovely. How nice to have "girls" for prom night. We have all the boys, and they just don't get to dress as fancy as the girls. Your yard is a blooming beauty to. I love being with our adult children...such a blessing!! I never used to be a nap person....but lately...yawn.......ZZZZ Have a great week, Hopefull I can find something to blog about beside laundry..HaHa.

You, my Dear, have beautiful toes!!
I adore all the prom photos and the family gatherings.
Precious memories
I was bound and determined to not nap yesterday but the sandman intervened and I lost almost an hour of Sunday. Guess I needed it.. (:0)

Your granddaughter looks like a model. She’s very attractive. Now I promise, I don’t have a foot fetish but you have a nice looking foot! 🤪 and your pedicure and the polish looks so nice. I had a pesticide last week which always gives me a bounce to my step!

Your flowers are so pretty - you’ve been doing a lot of gardening and your green thumb shows it. I haven’t started yet with so much going on. But I’ll start in a week or so. I will plant my annual sunflower varieties. we have some tomatoes and a pumpkin plant as well. Enjoy your day.

I loved this! You had a wonderful weekend with lovely family time.
Mylee is just beautiful. The charcuterie looks like something out of a food magazine.
I can't believe you planted those roses last year, that's incredible growth.
I wish my feet looked like yours! :) Even with a pedicure it's not good...

What a fun filled weekend. Mylee looks absolutely stunning. All the girls look fantastic. Oh to go back and relive those days. Or at least revisit them now and then...lol
That charcuterie looks amazing. There is a little of everything on there.

What a heartwarming chapter for your Memory Book! Mylee looks like a famous model ... that 'magazine cover' shot so fun. (Unlike anything we had in high school.) Your roses are dear, but more so those cute toes! Bathe in the goodness, m'dear!
