If anyone needs a suntan or a little extra vitamin D, come see me! Today's expected high is a perfect 82 degrees! But let's talk about something deeper than just soaking up the sun.
Health! 💛 Health! 💛 Health 💛
Health isn't just about medicine, prescriptions, or test, test, test.
🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞
True health....the kind that sustains us and fills our days with joy....comes from within.
This can be found in a peaceful mind, a content heart, a soul at ease, and laughter that bubbles up and spills over, warming not just ourselves, but those around us. Laughter is so FUN!
Peace of mind, calms our thoughts and quiets the chaos of daily life. Peace in the heart allows us to let go of resentment, grudges, and NEGATIVITY. Peace in the soul gives us the strength to trust the journey, even when we don't understand it.
Each of these things create space for healing in ways that medicine alone can not provide. I know...I know... All days are not peaceful. This is when we have to "Work out." Just as we work our muscles, we must work our minds.
Can you imagine the inflammation in our bodies caused from chaos, resentment, grudges and negativity? Quick Note Here** Of course, I know that there are numerous things that cause inflammation in our bodies...(the food we eat, sugar, alcohol and a huge list of things) But... chronic stress and negative emotions cause inflammation as well.
If I had to write a prescription today for me or for my family & friends, it would be something like this.
The best part? NO negative Side effects!
Hoping to enjoy as much sunshine as I can today....
Hugs and wishing for warm sunshine for all of you dear friends.. Sunny Day prescription any one?
Shug
I love your prescription and will take it!
ReplyDeleteI love your words - so true.
"True health....the kind that sustains us and fills our days with joy....comes from within." There is a lot of truth to that. I have some friends that worry about their health all the time and to be honest it drives me nuts. Oh well, another issue.
I do think we need to work at being postitive!
I loved this. Thank you for the prescription of LOVE and SUNSHINE!!

This is so good! First, I would love to come see you and enjoy that weather. Here it's very cloudy and we have another big storm coming our way with snow and freezing rain.
ReplyDeleteHowever - I can stay in and just look out and be thankful for my cozy warm house!
Your prescription is perfect!
These are such true and wonderful words, Shug. Sometimes all the medicine that is required is peace of mind and a content heart. We can find that anywhere we live. And with God in our hearts, everything will be so much easier. I never thought of the inflammation on our bodies caused by such chaos, that's interesting, and our health does seem to decline if our minds aren't right. This is a great reminder to fill our minds with lovely things. Have a nice day, and 82 degrees! We have had rain over the weekend and more to come this week, but we welcome it in California. Your prescription is just perfect, Shug. I love that.

What a cute post! Love it. I trust God for my health and as it is the temple of the Holy Spirit I try and do my share of keeping it clean and healthy. Laughter releases endorphins and I always feel better after a good laugh. I try not to worry - giving it all to God and when I start, I go directly to my Father to pray and read the Bible. Some say it’s too hard but it’s not. Worry and bitterness does make us unhealthy and sick like you said. A very close relationship with our Lord and Savior is very healthy for our souls!
ReplyDeleteAnd that’s the most important of all.
I love your cute prescription! Peace of mind is something we all want for sure!
ReplyDeletelolololololol. No negative side effects. Winner, winner!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the prescription...Sunshine and Sonshine is the perfect combination.

I did get some sun yesterday and today and our temps are like yours.. we just had to open the windows because 80 is to hot to keep them closed and AC would be to cool.
ReplyDeletethanks for the RX... we do sit in the sun each day, I read a thing online that says 3 minutes in FL sun gives us all the vitamins we need. I make sure I get 10 minutes a day.
👍❤️. Have a blessed, joyful day.
ReplyDeleteI like your prescription. No sunshine here today but it was up to 48 which felt warm for us.
ReplyDeleteLaughter is one of the things i miss about my job. I never realized how much fun I had until I retired and didn't have that daily dose of fun and laughter. Have a great week. Take care.
ReplyDeleteLove the prescription! We reached 83* today and yes, I did sit in the sunshine for a bit. It is suppose to get cold again tomorrow...*sigh*.
ReplyDeleteBTW, thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. Hope to see you again soon.
Grace & Peace,
Pam
You offer some great ways to make the most of life!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, getting a little sunshine is great for your health, not too much though. Sitting in Sonshine is also healthy for your soul. It was 82* on the porch this afternoon!! A beautiful day for sure.
ReplyDeleteYes, yes and yes! Sunshine, laughter, visiting with friends, taking a walk - all free! Thanks for the great reminder :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I love that prescription! And it feels soooo good to laugh. Like Anne Lamott writes, "Laughter is carbonated holiness."
ReplyDeleteThat's the best prescription I've seen in a long time, Shug! May we all indulge in those healthy things daily, knowing that the only side effect is feeling better. Blessings!
