Proposal and More

Saturday was a busy day around this place.   Sam was feeling well enough to help me move some of the big boxes in the garage, until I located the Christmas tree.

I'm certainly not in a hurry this year to get the tree put up, but I did need to get it pulled out to where I can get to it when I do decide to set it up.  Mentally, I'm not quite ready for the task at hand.

This wasn't planned, but I ended up keeping William (our newest baby) for a few hours, while his mom and dad were busy getting ready for a wedding they were to attend.

And then!!!!!!   Our youngest grandson Proposed to his long time girlfriend.  This beautiful couple loves everything about the Farm and they are huge duck hunters.  The farm was the perfect spot for this to take place.

Trey had the proposal all planned out......

At the Family farm/lake there is a huge tree that sits by itself at the edge of the beautiful spring fed lake.  Trey proposed to Savannah under the big tree.  Isn't this the sweetest!

In one of the engagement photos, Trey's 2 big labs were swimming in the lake and they are both in the picture along with Trey and Savannah.  (sorry...I don't have that particular picture)

            Congratulations to Trey and Savannah!

Later in the evening, Sam and I joined the family for dinner, honoring this precious couple.

We will now have TWO weddings in 2025!

Trey's brother (Carson) proposed to his girlfriend (Emily) back in July!  Their wedding is set for May 10th.  I'm thinking that Trey and Savannah's wedding will be later in the year 2025.

After we all had dinner, Sam and I went to Mylee's Basketball game.  It started at 7:30 which gave us plenty of time to get there.

Yes...it was a very busy day but one full of Love and family.

Happy Sunday Friends.

I just can't quite crank myself up to thinking Christmas decorations yet. It will get done but who knows when.
I agree that there is nothing like family and the love that spills out over everybody. Grateful for my family too.

  2. Good morning Sue. We are looking forward to these two weddings. I really am enjoying my Fall decorations this year and I think this is one reason that I'm not in any hurry to jump in to Christmas. Family Love is the Best.

  7. congratulations to the couples and to all the family. the perfect place for sure. I always wanted a ranch or a farm. just land with no people living next door and lots of trees and it looks like you have that . I know you had fun with the baby.

  14. Congratulations to both of your grandsons. They must be pretty good duck hunters. They've got quite a few lined up there in that picture.
I changed where I store the Christmas stuff last year to make it easier for me to pull it all out. It was getting too hard for me to go in and out of a crawl space to drag everything out and then put it back in

  16. That's wonderful news about your grandson proposing to his long-time girlfriend. It was a neat way in which he proposed on the farm. The picture of them with the lights is so special. It's a very casual photo, and will be remembered. That's great that he loves the farm, and enjoys hunting. My dad hunting pheasant, and I would sometimes go along with him as a young girl. So sweet that you got to visit with the baby for a few hours. Mylee looks cute in her orange outfit and crown.

    Have a blessed week, Shug.
