Quick update on Storms......We finally have Sunshine 🌞 with no heavy winds... FEMA assistance has been approved for the areas. Cleanup is underway and water is receding.
Vacation Part 3......2024
Seeing our GRANDS for the first time in over a Year..
Day 3....The great grandkids did not know that Sam and I were going to be there, so we decided to meet them at a local donut shop for Breakfast that morning.
Here they are walking in ↑↑↑↑↑↑ (picture above)......Sam and I were sitting towards the back. WOW!! what huge smiles on their little faces when they spotted us! This was the BEST.
A morning of all things SWEET.
It just happened to be Emersyn's 4th Birthday that morning.......and what better thing to do than to go Birthday Shopping...
A few rides at the Mall....and then a shopping spree....↓↓↓
The purple shopping basket was filled to the Brim by the time we checked out...
The cutest Mermaid Birthday party...
Then....Birthday Dinner that evening at
"The Far Western Tavern"
The food at this place is excellent and the kids love their steak Kabobs.
The next day, it was a trip to feed the Ostrich.
These things can be a bit aggressive when they are hungry....
I was a bit scared....

We visited this little town of Solvang and what a neat place this is. I totally enjoyed all of the little shops and the food...
Last day with the kids was beach day and wow...it was cold..

This was a wonderful time spent with family and I can't wait to see them again....in July!

ReplyDeleteAs a child I remember always stopping in Solvang on our trips down to Disneyland - just for aebleskivera! There’s a Scandinavian town up in Washington - Poulsbo which is also charming in the winter snows. So fun.

Donuts with the grandkids, it doesn't get any better! Those donuts look so fresh and Yummy. Your granddaughter looks darling in her dress and necklaces. She must have had so much fun shopping and getting all those goodies. What a fantastic Mermaid party! And a fun day with the Ostrich. That Ostrich photo is delightful. Oh, those Danish pastries look amazing. I wish I had one this morning to go with my coffee. These are wonderful photos of the family. I'm glad you had such a grand time in California, Shug, and some lovely and memorable photos to cherish this special time you had.
