Rocks

Rocks, anyone?

There are MANY rock fences in our area and I must say....I think they make for remarkable scenery's!  The rock fence in the photo above.....surrounds a portion of our school...

This beauty...Wraps around a lake here in our area...  Wouldn't it be fun to count all of those rocks?   NOT!

Rocks....They make for a sturdy fence!   I'm guessing that the fences in the top two pictures, have been standing for at least a hundred years....maybe longer.

Joining Good Fences today....

Blessings....
Shug

  3. O, a rock fence is a work of art to me. The time they take to build...
hauling the rock..laying each one to fit with the other...a total work of art..:)

  7. Awesome rock fences/walls. I loved that last one. I also would NOT want to count all the rocks in the 2nd one.
You've been nominated for a blog award on my blog today.

  8. I love all of the different 'rock fences' especially the one in your 2nd picture. Reminds me of all of the rock fences in the Smokies.

  10. You come across the most amazing boundaries!
These rock fence rows are beautiful. It reminds me of our trips to the Ozarks.
They use rocks from the mountains and they use a sturdy piece of fence and make a circle and fill it with rocks! They do this around fence posts, mail box posts... light posts... it is a beautiful way to show off the rocks.

I love that long curvy fence.

  14. We saw our first stone fences up east on our trip a few years ago. They are just as amazing in Texas! My husband was so interested in the craftsmanship ... I just know they are beautiful!
