Quick update on Sam.......what else can I say.....He is Miserable!! I suppose this is only to be expected when you have the kind of surgery that he had, at the age of 62!!
Our night, last night, was not good!! Not good at all. The pain meds are just not cutting the rope. I just called the Doctor and we are now doubling up on the pain medication.
I think I have found a new love...... Chalk board writing has caught my eye! I find it very interesting how one can take a simple chalkboard and make it into a piece of art.
Borrowed photo....
I have huge RED chalkboard that I can play with! It's like being a kid again!!
Happy Sunday to you all....we have so very much to be thankful for!!
Each day is a new canvas to paint upon,
Make sure your picture is full of life and happiness,
and at the end of the day, don't look at it,
and wish that you had painted something different!

Sweet Hugs from me to you!!
a huge red chalk board sounds very interesting, lol, fun fun fun!!
ReplyDeleteI hope your poor hubby feels better soon, hopefully everyday will get better, I will keep him in my prayers, I did remember to pray for him the morning of his surgery, he will be so glad to have this behind him, you too! Take care,
I am sorry to hear this. When my friend had hers removed, the healing was quite painful. I hope more pain medicine does the trick, is he able to sleep? I LOVE your beautiful blue and red background! I have also been drawn to the chalkboard with the frames around them, and I want one! Every time we are in the Home Goods store, they have such pretty ones, and cheap, too! I think they are all the rage now. But Phil does not want chalk around because of the chalk dust and the fingernails on the blackboard. He lets me buy lots of dry erase boards, which are put up all over the kitchen. Still, the old fashioned beautiful chalk boards draw me, maybe I will get one yet!! And if I do, I will post it!! You can also buy chalkboard paint!!! But I need to think of what I would paint it ON first. I want to see yours!!!
ReplyDeleteRed chalk paint... you are going to have some fun with that.. I have several things painted with chalkboard paint.. love it! Lots of great sayings and scripture can be wrote on it as inspiration...I hope your hubby feels better real soon.. It will take some time to bounce back..Have a great Sunday! Blessings!
ReplyDeletePoor Sam! Hope the double up helps!
ReplyDeleteWe need to see this red chalkboard.
M : )
I do hope Sam feels better soon. I also love chalkboard writing/art. Love the look of it.
ReplyDeleteSorry about Sam.. Hope he can get some relief soon.
ReplyDeleteI had to write on a chalkboard when I taught Math for several years. I actually was allergic to chalk --as it broke my fingers out... SO--no chalkboards for me!!!!
Hugs,
Betsy
Gosh, I hope doubling the pain meds has helped. That must be a miserable recovery from that type of surgery. But I know with Nurse Shug, he is in very good hands.
