Woo Hoo......My decorating skills are coming back....my excitement is stronger than ever and I can't wait to make the changes that I want to make!!
For the past few months, I haven't had the desire to be creative....at all. This is so not like me! I can truthfully say that decorating makes me HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY!!
I am so happy with the choices I made when re-doing our kitchen....I know that I posted about it when the kitchen was first completed, but yesterday was actually the first time that I have utilized my abilities to change things around in the kitchen.
Most of the cabinets are not attached to the walls....They are each separate pieces that I can move around in order for me to change my kitchen up... if and when I need to.
I just did not want the same old, same old...so I opted to use different pieces of furniture!
I seriously have a problem with liking to change things up and this is the exact reason that I decided to go with the pieces of furniture in my kitchen...This works great for me!
The other side of the kitchen....
Love my round table!!
As you can see....I like Red! I'm trying to decide on another color to add to this living area....Will it be shades of turquoise or shades of green? Not sure yet...
I really want to paint this wall....should I or should I not????
I have much that I want to do and I can't wait to see how it all turns out....
I'll keep you posted on the changes I make!!
Warm hugs...
shug
Have fun decorating. I love all the red in your house.
ReplyDeleteI am SO jealous of your coolest ever kitchen, Shug, and your SUGAR sign, and the colors, the rearrange on demand thing, all of it. Love your star on the floor too. I can see your living room accents in turquoise with the red or deep chocolate...you are so creative, dear girl. I'll tell ya what, I sure could use some changes in my home too. Now all I need is your creative mind.

Your kitchen is so lovely! What a beautiful new floor! Sorry I've been so absent lately, this has been the worst winter for sickness here!
ReplyDeleteLove how you change things around all the time - never know what I'll find at your house.
ReplyDeleteHi Shug!
ReplyDeleteI love you - thank you for thinking about me, and wondering how I was, you are very sweet! I've missed you too.
I love your kitchen!! I have never thought about using pieces of furniture that I could move around in my kitchen, what a brilliant idea! I also love the color red. I think turquoises would be beautiful in your home; but green is always my go-to color when I can't make up my mind... :0) I would definitely paint the wall! There are so many wonderful colors out there to work with - just pick one and run with it!!
Hugs,
Barb
Wow, this is all SO cool! And yes, I would paint the wall in the last picture, it is too stark and needs some warmth. I adore the red print dining chairs!!! And the huge open cabinet by the fridge. And did you REALLY hang a chandelier on your front porch? Or is it under a awning gazebo kind of thing? THAT is an amazing idea and a great conversation piece. You must run the cord into an outlet in the house?
ReplyDeleteBeing able to move your kitchen around is the coolest thing I've heard of. I want change my cabinets. If my kitchen were larger your option would be perfect. I like to change to. Blessings! Lara
ReplyDeleteLove your kitchen, it is fabulous with all the furniture pieces. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteIt all looks great!! I love your kitchen, so cozy!!
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of movable kitchen pieces. I also adore your fridge!
ReplyDeleteHave a great time decorating, Shug... I'm not a decorator at all. My house always looks the same!!!! Guess I need you to come up here and 'fix' it up for me!!!! Yours is gorgeous. I do love your red touches.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Betsy
How creative to use furniture pieces that can be moved around to suit you. Love it! I also decorate with a lot of red and use accents of gold or green and even turquoise, depending on the overall look I want. Have fun decorating!
ReplyDeletegorgeous kitchen SHug! I need you around here!

So glad you are back doing something that makes you happy. That is important for all of us. I love your kitchen and I think a splash of turquoise would be the "icing on the cake." Happy week!
ReplyDeleteI love what you have done to your kitchen. I like the idea of being able to move everything around and change things up a bit.
ReplyDeleteYou have a lovely home, Shug! I know you will have fun decorating it. I love red and have a lot of it in my home, too. The older I get the more I like color! I think turquoise or green either one would be great with your red. I have quite a bit of green, but in the form of houseplants. Love them.
ReplyDeleteHave fun!
Love the red!
ReplyDeleteI'm kinda partial to lime
green but that might not
be a color you'd like.
