My Remodeled Kitchen....

I have been working on this kitchen for months.....and I can now say...it is almost complete...

It takes a lot of time when you take on a project like this....It was very difficult at times, having to move stuff in and out, along with having NO KITCHEN for a couple of weeks there...

Believe me...paying for it as you go is the best way to do a remodeling project...

I knew that I wanted granite counter tops, and as you all know, this stuff is not cheap...
SO, I saved and saved until I had enough to get it!   Isn't it amazing how easy it is to save when you want something really bad??

Here is a picture of my back splash behind the stove....I really do like the little glass diamond tiles...

The cabinets!

I love, love, love the black cabinets!
I still have to add the knobs, but I am going to take my time in picking out just the perfect knob....

I am in search of an old wooden shutter...This is going to go above the door....Can't wait to find it!!

My pantry door....Every girl needs a huge pantry!

The perfect place to sit and enjoy a nice hot cup of coffee....

The painter still has to come back for touch ups...especially since I did everything backwards...I should have had the granite put in before the paint, but I did it right the opposite...Now the cabinets have to be re-done in a few places!  Ooops!

Well folks....this is it....My new re-modeled kitchen...

I'm joining Marty at A Stroll Thru Life

Hope you have a Blessed week...

  2. Oh my gosh, I'm almost swooning!! I LOVE the big star of Texas on the floor, and the whole floor is beautiful, so are the counter tops. I had never heard of, or seen black cabinets, and did not think I would like them. But these are stunningly gorgeous!!!! You have missed your calling by not being an interior decorator.

  4. What a lovely, lovely kitchen! We remodeled ours about 6 years ago and I have so enjoyed it. It was tough to live through, but so worth it in the end.

    Happy week!

  10. Awesome kitchen!! Love the granite and backsplash. The star on the floor really makes a statement! That small cart with the rack on the side is pretty cool, too!

  11. I LOVE it!, especially the TX Star tiled to the floor, the granite, the black cabinets, the pantry door, the sunflowers, well, I said I Loved it.
Even those well-behaved chickens on the sill. Love it all, Shug. You should be patting yourself on the back as you smile. And Yes, do it as you can afford it. I'm in the process of saving for Sunroom windows...grrrr., but I will get there.

I am amazed of your transformation. I so love your colour combos.

Wow! Black, White with the touch of red? We have one thing in common in the kitchen, §;-)
