Socializing Again...

Well....I've been socializing again...

I enjoyed another gender-exclusive pokeno party this past Tuesday night....This time, I was a winner!!

The last picture on this post will show you my winning prize, but don't scroll down right now...Wait and see all the other pictures first!

I will tell you, that I could really feel my nerves during those last few games....I was so afraid that someone would steal the one gift that I really wanted to hold on to....

First of all, I have to show you the table centerpiece that my friend Kay made....Kay was hosting this months party, and she did a fabulous job...Mr. Turkey was the cutest guy and the only guy there....so, I guess it really wasn't a gender exclusive party after all!

It was so adorable, that no one wanted to pull out the Kabob's (feathers) and eat them....just couldn't mess it up!

We all laughed because we were calling the gobble everything but the gobble...No one really knew for sure what that long red thing was called...the one that hangs from the neck...

And then my daughter Trista gave us the answer...She knew!

Check this out....This is definitely my kind of sweet kitchen
style...   Too bad it's at Kay's house and not mine!!

I was so in love with this....red checks and old
kitchen gadgets.....be still my fainting heart!

A few of the girls....

More friends.....

Do you recognize this pumpkin?  It's the one that I won at the last pokeno game and then lost. :(
Doesn't Kay have it so beautifully displayed on her mantle?
It was just meant to be hers,  I suppose....

and this is my last picture.....this is it!    The gift that I really wanted...... :)

My heart sings with happiness...

Blessings sweet friends

  3. What a neat gift to win!!! I love that white pumpkin, too. It looks very good where she put it. What are the turkeys head and feet made from? I think the wattle and feet are fruit leather. The head looks like some kind of a fruit or vegetable cut in half.
