Farmers Market

Oh My, how I love the Farmer's Market.....

Take a look at what I came home with today...

Big, Plump Blueberries.....and they are so good....

Two Big Boxes full of the most wonderful Peaches!!

The sweetest smelling cantaloupe.....

AND....a huge bag of Blackberries...
(I forgot to take a picture of the blackberries before I put them up in the freezer)

I was one proud lady when I drove away for the market....Is this not the prettiest fruit ever?

The best thing, is having good Christian friends who love to share in the bounty of what they produce.....Thanks, Ronnie and Tanya!

Blueberry muffins, Blueberry pancakes, Blueberries in our cereal, Blueberry Jam, and perhaps a Blueberry cobbler...

I'm really thinking a big bowl of peach ice cream sounds pretty good right now....

I can honestly say that my heart is bringing me much joy right now and it's all because of the Blessings from our heavenly Father and the kindness of our dear friends....

Sweet Blessings to you!

Warning....Challenges Ahead

Update on Baby Zoey.......

Feeding tube has been removed and she cried for the first time.
What a Blessing....What a Praise to the Lord!

Zoey will remain in the hospital for a while longer, so please keep those prayers coming....

                                             *****************

It was a hard two miles for me this morning.....Walking for exercise is a  mind thing and I believe it needs to become a habit.....I'm not quite there yet, but I will be!!

Do you ever wake up to a sign like the one above staring you in the face?

I suppose the word "Warning" is the first clue that the day might be filled with many obstacles....

Most of us know of someone who occasionally pops in and out of our life and when they do decide to pop in, they try to bring with them the garbage of their own life....Their life is a mess and they depend upon us to bail them out of these big messes that they get themselves into...I'm just not sure they have the ability to ever grow up!

This can be very draining!

I don't know about you, but I do not want to be an enabler to anyone....I don't want to be a part of the bad choices that people make.....

Yesterday was one of those kind of days for me, and when I finally went to bed, I had to tell myself...."I can still care...I can still be kind to this person.....but I do not have to take on challenges that I have no control over....Prayer....this is what I can do....I can pray!"

Today is going to be a great day.....

No "Warning" signs ahead.....

I do hope that your day is a lot like you....

Simply Wonderful....

Blessings.....

God is Good and Life Is Beautiful.....

Good Morning.......God is Good and Life is Beautiful!

Wouldn't you know it?   I walked right out the door yesterday evening and left my camera sitting on the bar....

We enjoyed a wonderful evening having dinner with friends and watching a fabulous fireworks show.  What made it even better was being able to watch two shows at the same time.....God was opening up the sky with His gorgeous majesty....HE gave us a firework show of HIS own....rolling clouds with flashing lights of static lightning......not the bolt lightning, but the kind that causes the clouds to glow....

The meal was scrumptious and to top it off, my friend for all times (Susie) made the most outstanding dessert.  It was one of those desserts that guarantees a  smile......

I'm not sure if this dessert even has a name, but I suppose I would have to call it "Unforgettable Passion."        It's a layer of ice cream sandwiches...layer of chocolate ice cream syrup.....layer of cool whip.....layer of nuts.....stack another layer of the same ingredients on top and then place in the freezer......OMG...OMGoodness!

                                                           ****************

Yesterday was really a Remarkable Day!

It is so nice to be able to set aside all the busy schedules that we all try to keep, and enjoy spending a delightful day with family and friends....This is exactly what we did yesterday.....

I don't know about you, but my calendar is full of everyday task and more.  It's almost as if the days are running together, especially when I stop and take a look at all the penciled in happenings that are keeping me so busy....

I sometimes find myself asking....Are there really 24 hours in a day?

I think I need to take a step back and Re-Access my time...
Needless to say, I have not completed any of the summer projects that I had intended to work on....It's already July and I still have much to accomplish...  Not to worry, I will get them done.

One thing is for sure....I never want to limit the time that I spend with God.....

                                                           ********************

I hope your weekend and your Monday was as Blessed as mine......I count it a Blessing to be able to set time aside for the pleasures of being with Family and friends.....

I am FREE to run.....I am FREE to dance.....I am FREE to live for God....and I am also FREE to give HIM Praise!!!    This is what Independence day is all about!!

Have a wonderful day......

The Fourth.....

JulFourtPictures ......

Tori.....

      Mylee and
            Tyler...

Lots of Family fun!!!!

Do you remember Buddy?  The run-away dog.....He is so happy at his new home....It has a lot of shade and a lot of St.Augustine grass....but what Buddy likes most of all, is the POOL!

The outside temp is Hot!

Guess this is why the kids were staying in the pool....
Oh my.....did I say kids?   Excuse me....I got that wrong...
Seems that Tyler and Tucker decided that "Shug"
needed to be cooled off as well....

THEY THREW ME IN......I honestly thought I was going to drown....water went up my nose and I think I must have drank half of the pool.......I came up like a bottle rock shooting into the air...
How embarrassing......the little kids were looking at me like I was crazy....and then, I had to explain to those that didn't already know, that I can not swim.....

Of course....Tyler said:  "Shug, I thought you were kidding all these years about not being able to swim."

Thank goodness, the depth of the water where I was at was only 4 feet!  Whew...

The meal:  Hamburgers, Hot dogs, BBQ ribs, baked beans, and all the trimmings....
Cake, Ice Cream,Cookies.....and I made Fruit Pizza....
YUMMY!
******************

I have to get ready or another outing with friends...
BBQ and fireworks....

Will post more pictures later tonight....

Till Later....

Fun-Tastic Weekend....

Hi Ya'll....happy Sunday!

This has been a busy weekend....I guess this is just the way a Holiday Weekend should be!!

We drove to Dallas on Saturday to see baby Zoey and to check on the  family....

Here is Zoey's update......She was doing better when Sam and I were there, but they have since put in a feeding tube.....Some of the test results have already come back and they are negative...Praise the Lord!  However....the doctores are still waiting on several more test results...We certainly appreciate all of your prayers and would ask you to continue to pray for this little angel....

                               ************************

Our church service today was GREAT!...

We sang "The Star Spangled Banner"...."America the Beautiful"...and we all stood with pride as we said the "Pledge of Alliegence."  This was awesome.....

Pastor Mark's message really hit home......"Do You Want a Revoulution."     It's time that we stand up to the Devil and take back what has been stolen from us!  Our health, our loved ones, our finances, our schools, our homes, our marriages....and the list goes on and on.....

It's time for us to take all these things back and to demand the devil to Flee!!!

                                  *******************

This evening, we enjoyed  a church picnic.....Hamburgers and Hot Dogs.....and all the trimmings.....Of course, DESSERTS too!!

This is the dessert that I took......It doesn't even have a name, but I thought it was (Pretty) good!!

So simple to make.......     1/2   of a store bought orange cake
cup up into 1 inch pieces.
1/2   of a store bought strawberry cake
cup up into 1 inch pieces.
                                          1      large container of coolwhip
                                          1      container of strawberry glaze
                                        1/2    cup blueberries
                                        1/2    cup blackberries
                                          1      cup of sliced strawberries
                                        1/2     cup sliced almonds.

Layer all the ingredients in a bowl and ref.
Wa La.....mmmmmmmmm  mmmmmmm  Good!

Your family and friends will think you slaved all day to make this simple, easy dessert!!

I have a lot of pictures to share with you, and I hope to be able to post them tomorrow....

Hope you all have had a Fun Tastic weekend....

Hugs to you all......

Piggies and Stuff......

Just had to show this to you......I think these piggies
are so cute!

(Borrowed Picture)

I have decided to decorate my piggies this same way in celebration of the 4th....

*************************

I get so much joy out of reading all of your post...
Actually, I think I'm addicted to all of your blogs....

I usually try to read them and make comments throughout the day, but for some reason, this week I have not been able to keep my mind straight, let alone take care of my normal routine....(Duh..could it be a massive garage sale going on, doctor's appointments, decorating the church, helping my daughter get settled into her new home, and keeping kids)

Hopefully my routine will get back to normal this next week...

Freedom, Blessings, Friends....

Just can't get any better can it?

What are your plans for the weekend?

Blessings,

Shug....

Sam and I will be traveling to Dallas to "Children's Hospital" today, to see baby Zoey...
Please keep the prayers coming for her....

5 Things Friday.....

Isn't it a fabulous start to the 4th of July weekend?

We have been busy having a Huge garage sale this morning......Oh boy....It has been HOT!!  Temps outside are already 95 and suppose to reach 102.

I was sweating like I didn't know I could!   If sweating this much doesn't make me lose a few pounds, then nothing else is likely to either....

This is another one of my 5 things to be thankful for Fridays.......

1.  After this morning, I am truly thankful for deodorant.  Oh my!
Something we all need everyday.....Not sure that everyone feels the same as me......Maybe this is something we should try selling at our garage sales!!

2.  Thankful again for the rain....We had a (small) shower last night and it was wonderful!!!

3.  Thankful for this coming 4th of July.....Our Country's Independence day.....How grateful I am that we are a FREE Nation.   We are Blessed!!

4.  I am thankful for the gifts that God has given me.... I have several gifts from God and It is my prayer that I will use them to bring Him the Glory and Honor that He deserves.....

5.  I am thankful that God has given me Peace in regards to a specific situation.....something that I have been troubled about for many years, but I am finally able to let go and let God be in charge!!

Hope you all have a wonderful and Blessed weekend....Be safe!

I do have a prayer request......Please be in Prayer for our new little baby.....Samantha, our niece just gave birth to Zoey Kate last Friday....The baby has had some difficulty with her breathing...The doctors here, have sent the baby to Children's for further testing...
Please pray with us for Zoey's breathing.  And, would you also be   in prayer for Samantha and her husband...

Hugs to each of you....May your heart bring you joy in the Blessings of God!
