A Special Day.....Pet Day!

PET  DAY.....

Yesterday was PET Day for the second grade classes here at our elementary school.

Just so happens that I know one very special little guy that is in the 2nd grade this year.  Trey, our 4th grandson was so very excited even though he doesn't really have a PET.

This didn't bother him any, because he already had a plan and had a super great idea!  He could just borrow "Bella" from his Shug.

So....Bella to the rescue, IT WAS!

I absolutely LOVE those precious freckles!

Mylee and I spent an hour or so getting Bella all cleaned up for her special debut.

This little sweetie {Bella} was our favorite, however, we thought the other pets were pretty neat too!

This was an adventurous little fella...
His name was "Billy"....imagine that!

Meet "Rosco"

He was the "Heavyweight" of the day and I might add, he enjoyed putting on a show for all the kids.

Zoe was a cutie...She was pretty quite and kinda stayed in her own little corner.

There were FISH.....

Crabs.............

And....Turtles!

I thought this was a neat assignment.....
The kids had to go around and look at each pet...they had to list the pet's name and had to determine whether it was a reptile, mammal, fish or etc.....

Trey was serious about his assignment!

This kitty is an indoor pet...I thought she was very calm!  Especially considering the fact that she normally doesn't spend a lot of time around kids....

I don't remember this one's name, but she was the smallest of all the puppies....

The kids loved this one......ANTS!

We had a great time and at the end of the afternoon, Bella was exhausted....TOO MUCH ATTENTION!

Hope you have enjoyed visiting Pet Day with us...

Shug Sez.......

The wonder of living is held within the beauty of silence, the glory of sunlight, the sweetness of the fresh Spring air, and the love that lies at the very root of all things!!
