He Knows what He Likes

Sweet, Sweet Jesus.....Thank you for the calmness that was sent my way during my recent shopping trip with our 16 year old!!

Folks......have you ever attempted an afternoon of shopping with a 16 year old guy????

Too many stripes....Not my color....Doesn't fit right... I don't like that material.....I'm not wearing that....Are you kidding me?...That's something like they wore in the 60's....Too Many STRIPES!! Too dull looking....It's too hot for that....This shirt is too long....It's just not my style....I don't like wearing college emblems.....I want something that is comfortable and plain...
TOO MANY STRIPES, SHUG........!!!!

AND ....WE HAD NOT EVEN LOOKED AT THE SHOES YET!

I'm thinking.....I never knew guys could be so particular when it comes to shopping!  Whatever happened to jeans and a plain ol' shirt?

This all happened on Monday....Yesterday we were back in town shopping for new bedding for his room...

Trista and Ty purchased a new home back in the summer and along with the new home, came new colors!
When you have new paint in the bedroom, you just about have to update the bedding as well.  Did you know that colors are important to some guys?   YEP, they really, REALLY are!

I would like to think that my decorating skills are somewhat fairly decent, but evidently this was not the case when it comes to deciding certain patterns or colors for this 16 year old's room....
I must admit though....guys can be just as good as the lady folks when it comes to knowing what they want....(the colors and look that they would like to achieve in areas that are important to them)

Maybe I should stop and give credit where credit is due...It's not that he is rotten or a difficult person.....NO, it's just that he knows what he likes and what he doesn't like!!......  In my conversations with some of the moms that were shopping  at   the same stores as us,  I discovered that this is now a common thing with guys these days!!

Don't get me wrong....He is very thankful and appreciative for all that he has....he just believes that if you're gonna spend time shopping, it's best to shop for whatever brings happiness.....

Whew....I think I'll stick with shopping for the girls!!

Maybe I'll just rest today!

Spring Break

It's SPRING Break around here and so far, the weather has been beautiful!!

This is a S-W-E-E-T picture!

the only thing that would make it sweeter would be if I were actually there!

(this is a borrowed picture, and I have no clue who these Blessed folks are, but sure looks like they are enjoying life)

Around here....It could easily be called "Cleaning Break."  Much to do...

It is my belief, that the outside of the home should look just as beautiful as the inside...and this calls for clean flower beds....flower beds with color...a trimmed yard...groomed bushes and most of all....CLEAN PORCHES!!

Hopefully, by the end of the week, my yard will be picture perfect.

         Wishful thinking, but
I'm working on it!!

have a great evening!

Whatever Will Be, Will Be!

Whatever will be, will be.....

These are some pretty goods words if you ask me....Aw,
Whatever life brings will be!

I suppose these five little words, (when used together) are what they are.  Do we have choices in life that can change the outcome of Whatever will be, will be?
Yes we do!  Sometimes, we can  NOT  help the circumstances of life, but we do have choices in regards to how we REACT to these circumstances....

Today, will I be happy about the things that will be?  Will I be too exhausted to care about the whatever's of life?

Or....

Will I continue to carry that same spirit that I carry each and every day.....the one that is not satisfied until ALL  (everyone I come in contact with) is overflowing with JOY in their daily
What will be, will be' Z

I'm pretty sure that I'm not making sense to anyone

other than  MYSELF!!!!

I am going to choose to
be happy in every single

(Whatever will be, will be)

that has crossed my path
today!!

Blessings,
shug

CCF Makes for a Great Day!

              We Love the Cheesecake Factory!

You know,    ......this place is just plain good...

The food is great, the cheesecake is more than great, and the prices....well, they are ???

When Sam and I woke up Saturday morning, the weather was not the best, with cloudy skies and heavy rain in the forecast.  We decided that the best thing for us to do was to make a small road trip.  In this case, it was to the big city of Frisco, Texas...

We had no other agenda, other than having lunch together and enjoying the afternoon doing whatever we wanted to do...

If you have never tried the ORANGE CHICKEN
from this place, then you have missed out on a delicious food dish...Sam and I both ordered the orange chicken and as our side, we ordered the sauteed spinach.  Can I tell you that the combination of flavors in these two dishes was absolutely the best....

Orange Chicken (we did NOT have the rice)

and

Sauteed Spinach.......

Why, have I not ever gone to cooking school?
How about y'all....have you ever attended a
cooking school??

Geez, I would love to know how to cook like the chefs at the CCF.     Most of us can cook chicken and most of us know how to saute spinach, but it's those flavors, the sauces, that make the food soooo good!

I would love to work in the kitchen of this place (for about a month)....Just enough time to learn the secrets and the ingredients that are used to deliver the most delectable foods to each of their customers...

Did I mention that the company and the conversation that I shared with my hubby is what really made this lunch date the BEST!

After our two hour lunch, we traveled a hundred miles (in the rain) back home to enjoy a wonderful evening of total relaxation....

What a great day it was!  The perfect start to
SPRING BREAK!

Blessings and morning hugs....

Oh....and BTW.....we did NOT have Cheesecake!!
