Succulents, Smiles and a Hodgepodge
My newest plant purchase!! A beautiful pot of succulents.
1. How would I define “the good life”? ........ ❣️❣️
To me, the good life is not about having the most money or the fanciest things. It’s waking up with peace in your heart, loving the people around you, enjoying simple moments, and finding beauty in everyday life. A good cup of coffee, fresh flowers, laughter, good health, faith, creativity, and meaningful connections all make life feel rich in the most important ways. ☕️✝️💐
2. What’s the most used app on your phone (and are you proud of that)? ...... G+📫
Gmail. Honestly, yes. It keeps me connected with family, blogging opportunities, conversations, and the little pieces of daily life that. It may not sound exciting, but staying connected means a lot.
3. Every rose has it's thorn, everything's coming up roses, looking through rose-colored glasses, it's no be of roses or stop and smell the roses. Which rose Idiom best relates to something in your life currently. Explain.
“Stop and smell the roses.” ✋🏻+👃🏻+🌹
Life moves quickly, and I think we can easily miss the beauty sitting right in front of us. Lately I’ve been trying to slow down and truly appreciate the little things — flowers blooming, quiet mornings, kind words, creative moments, and simply being present. Those small things often become the biggest blessings.
4. How do you feel about floral flavorings in food or drink?
I do not like floral scents or flavors in my food or drinks. Lavender coffee, rose tea, or floral desserts just aren’t for me. I’d much rather enjoy flowers in a vase or growing in the garden than floating around in my lemonade. 🌸 ❌ 🧋
5. Over the course of your life, what have you probably spent more time pondering than anything else?
Probably the meaning of connection and purpose. I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about people, relationships, memories, creativity, faith, and how we leave kindness behind in this world. I think many of us quietly wonder if we are making a difference in the lives of others around us. ☺️
6. Insert your own random thought here.
Why is it that rearranging a room, buying a new rug, or placing fresh flowers somewhere can completely change your mood? Homes truly carry energy, and little touches of beauty can make ordinary days feel special. 💐🌸💐
shug....

I love your new pot of succulents.
ReplyDeleteYes! I totally agree with your answer for question 1 and I am stopping and smelling the roses more as life seems to be going by so quickly!
Ahh! I get that, whenever I do little things around my home it makes it feel all brand new.
I am all about fresh flowers in the house. It's such a lift to my day and my mood. I liked your answer to the first question and feel the same. Enjoy all the little beauties to be found in this day!
ReplyDeleteI love that Gmail is your most-used app! Honestly, staying connected with family and your blogging community is important, so you should absolutely be proud of it. Your definition of the good life is so beautiful, too. There really is nothing better than a quiet morning, a good cup of coffee, and peace in your heart.
ReplyDeleteI like your answer to question 1. So true and I think it's something we realize more the older we get.
ReplyDeleteI like your thoughts on doing things in your home too. I think women especially love doing things like that, making our homes cozy and cheerful.
PS - on #5 I can tell you that you are definitely making a difference in the lives of people around you. For that matter, even people who aren't physically close - like us blogging friends!
I'm with you...I don't like floral anything in my drink! lol
ReplyDeleteCool answers sweet lady!
hugs
Donna
I can't have fresh flowers due to a kitty named Susie. I guess she sees them as her floral flavorings! Heck, she'll nibble on the faux flowers. Take care.
ReplyDeleteLittle touches of beauty in our homes most certainly can make all the difference in our mood, Shug. I, too, love the simple things of every day life. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteKeep smelling the roses!
ReplyDeleteI am with you, stop and smell the roses. :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a great day Shug!
xo
I love your ending thought...probably because I can relate. Home really is where the heart is and if I can add a little extra touch to make it a happier place, I do!
ReplyDeleteWonderful succulents, I have them myself too... I adore them alongside orchids. Today I bought a Dragon Plant, it is special and doesn't need much care.
ReplyDeleteEvening hug, Andreja!
Your answers are "Just Right" for me too.
ReplyDeleteMy Home is where my Heart is ... I am so grateful for texting. I know my "kids" are working but I can still get in touch with them and they can answer at their own timing.
I'm with you on floral sprays or flavorings in things. About the only thing I use is fresh lemons. That I like, its so refreshing. Actually lemon desserts are pretty good too. (:0)
I really look forward to visiting your blog. You have the most tasty tidbits to read.
Love you and continued prayers for you and that wonderful man of yours.

Little things mean a lot.🎶
ReplyDeleteI do not like floral notes in foods either! I love your succulents, especially the curly one!
ReplyDeleteAGAIN! Blogger made me anonymous! Last comment was Ginny.
ReplyDeleteGreat answers to the questions this week, Shug
ReplyDeleteBeing present and enjoying the moments is so important in this fast paced world we live in.
I do like your newst plant!
ReplyDeleteI am trying to tend to my outdoors plants and planters. It has been a week!
Best wishes always to you and yours. God bless.
ReplyDeleteHow pretty, those succulents. Unlike some showy blooms, they seem content to sit up and smile at God.
ReplyDeleteI do love your response to #1, finding joy in life's ordinary blessings.
Another great post, and I'm glad Sam isn't having serious problems with the new pill. Still praying for you both. ❤️
ReplyDeleteI like your pot of succulents. I'm with you on the floral flavorings. I don't like them in my food/drink.
ReplyDeleteLove the succulents. I spend way too much time playing games on my phone.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pot of succulents.
ReplyDeleteI find it hard to keep succulents alive. I think the trick is to not do anything to them.
ReplyDeleteLove your new plant. I enjoyed your answer for #3 and #5. I love what you said on #5 so good.
ReplyDeleteI loved reading your post and I am still praying for you.....
ReplyDeleteI haven't rearranged things in the house for a long time.
ReplyDeleteGooooood Morning, Shug. Speaking of slowing down I'm outside this morning (I love being outside), reading blogs and having a cuppa before getting the work started inside. Today it's a wall that needs painted.
ReplyDeleteI like to create quite little slow downs like having lunch outside and day dreaming. I love that you're year is about slowing down and taking things in. That's the best!
Totally agree about moving things or changing the inside. We do this with our snug/living room area about twice a year where we move the couch and TV and just refresh the space. It's so nice. I just love that.
Wishing you a groovy weekend!
