Sunshine on My Shoulders

 Sunshine on my shoulders....

Yesterday, the sunshine poured down and this morning it is doing the same.  After a stretch of gray skies and gloomy days, the sun felt extra special.

I found myself sitting outside at a softball game, soaking it all in.  I rolled up my jeans, let the sun warm my skin, and just sat there enjoying not only the game, but the very excitement of the sun rays.

I also was engaged in some healthy conversations with friends as we waited for the next batter to come up to the plate.  And...it was so much fun listening to the teams doing their chants back and forth at each other.

Isn't it funny how something so simple can feel so healing?  It can change your entire outlook and it honestly feels so good.

I totally enjoyed the sunshine as it was resting on my shoulders.  It was a beautiful Saturday!

Shug....🌞

  2. Shug, there you are again, looking pretty and peaceful as ever sipping coffee on your front porch. I would love to have a hot cup of coffee right there with you and chat about so many things. So glad you are getting some sunshine after all that rain.

I wish you only the best May days, Shug.

  6. Dear Shug, we are supposed to get rain tonight here in Montreal. But both sunshine and rain are needed, and now the flowers are starting to bloom as well as the leaves on the trees, which is lovely to see!
The illustrations you are sharing are lovely, dear friend. They made me smile. Thank you so much for sharing.
I hope you have a wonder filled week ahead!

  12. This was a cup full of sunshine to start our day! Thank you! I love your photo on the porch...what a beautiful scene! And yes, sitting with friends/family and watching the kids play ball is a sweet memory! I remember those happy days when our boys were young and we'd sit and cheer them on! Happy days that fly by too quickly! Praying for Sam and for you as you continue in this journey you are presently traveling. May the Lord bring many sunshiny days your way.

  14. I'm glad to read that Sam's doctor did allow him to go ahead with the treatment. Praying that he is more rested this morning (Monday) as I am sure he spent a lot of time sleeping and resting over the weekend. Thanks for keeping us updated.
And I am glad that you were able to get out on Saturday and enjoy some of that beautiful sunshine. xx

  19. Yes! I know this feeling too dear Friend. We had sun WITH WARMTH here in the northwoods over the weekend. It just recharges the batteries. We felt productive and got a lot done around our properties. So grateful for God's gifts! :)
