The skies opened up today with a steady rain and rolling thunder. I don't mind that deep rumbling kind, but I do not like those sharp flashes of lightning.
This is not exactly the picture-perfect weather you would order for Prom day.....but maybe that's part of the beauty in it.
This morning, I spent a little time creating Mylee's prom bouquet, and oh my goodness, it turned out so pretty. I used a couple of red roses along with the softest pink mini roses, with a mixture of greens as well as a beautiful starburst lily. Each flower seemed to together just right. I then tied a "White Sash" that had her initials and prom 2026 monogramed on it...
Similar to this...Mylee has her initials and Prom 2026 monogramed in Black.
Today...while the rain continues to tap against the windows, Sam is resting, taking things easy, and even though his eye is very blood shot, we are holding on to the promise that complete healing is on its way. In just a couple of weeks, his vision should be fully restored, and that alone brings such a sense of peace and gratitude.
I am now headed out to take pictures of Mylee and her friends all dressed up for the Prom... Plenty of pictures (hopefully) tomorrow.
Hugs to all...
Shug..

Mylee is so blessed to have a Grandma who can do her flowers! I can't wait to see the photos!
ReplyDeleteOh the prom bouquet and sash is so feminine and pink! 💞 Prayers for Sam and complete healing for his eye.
ReplyDeleteI hope the rain stops long enough to get some beautiful photos.
ReplyDeleteMylee's going to look like a fairy tale princess tonight. I can't wait to see your photos!
ReplyDeletePrayers for Sam and complete healing, Shug! And I do hope Mylee knows how blessed she is to have a talented grandmother who cares so deeply for her and can come through when decorative adornments come into play. Let us know how it all turns out!
ReplyDeleteI know the bouquet is gorgeous, you have such a talent for flower arranging. I love your header and background. The matching boots, umbrella, and background.
ReplyDeleteI bet the flowers were gorgeous. Looking forward to seeing prom pictures.
ReplyDeleteA rainy, stormy day is perfect for resting.
Oh, how pretty. I wish we would get rain here, it's back to being dry yet again, sigh. Keeping you in prayer.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see the flowers you did for the prom. What an exciting time for your Mylee. My Granddaughter just went to her prom last night too. I think it was raining in Oregon too.
ReplyDeleteWe have rain on the docket for Tuesday and maybe a little snow in the mountains too. Heavenly Valley Ski Resort actually opened up again this weekend after they were closed for the season. Last weekend they got 2 feet of new snow.. I don't ski but I do know there were some snow bunnies thrilled to have another chance to swoosh down the slopes.

ReplyDeleteI'm glad Sam's eye surgery went well, and I hope he heals nicely and quickly.
Love the polka dot side bars and the girl skipping in the rain with her polka dot rain boots. It's perfect for the weather you've been having. And Yes, that's the beauty of it all. Mylee will always remember the stormy weather that accompanied her Prom night. And it was such a fun night for her with her friends. : )
That is so beautiful. What an exciting time for Mylee! I'm glad Sam's eye operation is over so he can start healing. ❤️
