1. What's something recent that had you 'tickled pink'?
2. A bed of roses, everything's coming up roses, every rose has it's thorn, stop and smell the roses, rose-colored glasses, a rose among thorns...which rosy expression might currently be applied to your life in some way?
3. What makes you feel loved and appreciated?
4. A box of chocolates or a bouquet of fresh flowers-what's your pleasure? Any special plans for Valentine's Day?
I am not a fan of chocolates and being that I owned a flower shop in past years.....I will have to go with FLOWERS!! I do love flowers but I prefer to arrange my own.
Special plans? Sam and I actually went out to eat last weekend for Valentines and he also gave me a very nice gift. I had misplaced my ear buds and for this reason he knew I really needed some new ones. I enjoy listening to music each night before I fall off to sleep....This was the Perfect gift.

Song: "When I said I do" by Clint Black:
When I said I do, I meant that I will 'till the end of all time. Be faithful and true, devoted to you...That's what I had in mind when I said I do.
Truer than true, you know that I'll always be there for you.....that's what I had in mind when I said I do.
My Quote: "Our vows spoken once, being lived out every single day." "To say "I Do' is to choose the same heart, again, and again, for a lifetime."
6. Insert your own random thought here.
My random thought: How many others keep every card their husband has ever given them? I've been keeping, not only Valentines cards, but every single card my husband has ever given me for the past 53 plus years. (We dated 4 years before we got married).
Here are my thoughts..... Keeping Valentine's cards from my husband for fifty-three years plus, feels like holding a handwritten timeline of our love. For me these cards are more than ink and paper....each of them holds the season of life that we were in and the jokes that made us laugh. Some of them are simple, some of them are worn at the edges, and some of them look as beautiful as the day I first opened their envelopes. They all whisper the same truth....that He loves me!

What an adorable photo of you! Wow. I enjoyed this Hodgepodge draped in pink. Oh and all those cards! My mom saved boxes and boxes of cards and letters from everyone she loved. It was fun to go through and of course I had to keep a few but most were tossed. I felt bad about it.
ReplyDeleteI'd pick, "stop and smell the roses" as well. Enjoy this day, Shug that the Lord has made!
Amen Debby...The day that the Lord hath made...I love it and it is a beautiful morning around here already. I don't know what will happen to all my cards when I am gone, but at least they will all know these things were important to me.
DeleteCute pick! Pink is your color! I'm trying to be a stop and smell the roses girl this year, too. It's not always easy, but I'm trying! Enjoy the week!
ReplyDeleteso true Kim...it's not always easy, but it sure beats the low times that one can feel when we don't work to be positive... Have a good one!! Beautiful day here in East Texas.
DeleteWhat a fun and cute photo!
ReplyDeleteI love how you described "Stop and Smell the Roses" and your family does look like a lot of fun!
Yep! I keep all the cards that anyone gives me, not jus the one's off my fella.
Thanks Kim.. I do have a witty family..we have fun. My husband laughed at me when I was digging through some of the cards yesterday...I can't help it...they all are so important. Hope your day is amazing..
DeleteI love the photo of you, your boots are so fun. Just what I need in the Wisconsin snow!! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI was cleaning our library the other day. I found a big fat envelope, inside were all the letters our son wrote to us during his time at Basic Training.
