What day is it? It's Wednesday...Hodgepodge Day!
Joyce asks the Questions
We Answer the Questions
🍁🦃🍁🦃🍁
1. Do you feel like you have a 'full plate' at the moment? In what way?
OH yes...my plate is very full right now! Not only in caring for Sam and his medical needs, but in doing all of the things that I like to do this time of the year. I'm busy with the details of updating Sam's parents home, I'm busy planning a Christmas gathering for my side of the family...I'm decorating my own home for the Holiday season...and it is Basketball season for our granddaughter...I try to make every game possible. Full plate is an understatement for me, but the only thing I would change is if Sam could be well and NO doctor's visits.
2. How did you learn to cook? If you have children did you teach or encourage them to cook? Do you like to follow a recipe or is your cooking style more 'let's wing it'.
My mom taught me how to cook. I actually cooked a lot when I was at home many years ago. I tried to have dinner done for our family, as at that time both of my parents worked outside of the home.
I do not usually follow a recipe. For most things, I just make them from scratch and I may add a little this or a little that from time to time to any given dish.
3. Last time you bit off more than you could chew? Elaborate.
I do this very often...I bite off more than I can chew. It's just who I am! I like to help in any way that I can and the word "NO" usually does not exist when others ask me to do things. But...I am also good at making things work out. I may have to make a few adjustments, but things usually work at well.
4. When did you last say 'the more the merrier' and mean it?
Our home has what I call "revolving doors" and everyone knows it. When our daughters were growing up, their friends were always in our home and this is the way we preferred for it to be. So... the statement "the more the merrier" has always been an open statement around here.
5. Write an acrostic using the word T-H-A-N-K-S.
T reasure the little moments that make life sweet. ❤

A ppreciate the goodness woven into every day. 🦃
N urture kindness where you go. 💫
K eep gratitude at the center of your heart. 🍂
S hare your joy so it multiplies in others. 💛
6. Insert your own random thought here.
My random thought: Why does my Southern Cornbread Dressing never come out as good as my MOM's was? Her's was always the Best and even though I make mine just exactly the way she did, it never has the delicious taste that I remember and want. I'll just keep trying, but I don't ever expect it to taste as good as what my mom's dressing tasted like.
Enjoy your Blessings of this Day!!
Shug.
