Good Sunday Morning friends and good morning to my dedicated granddaughter who loves to read my blog every morning!!
Before your feet hit the floor........
There is one simple but powerful way to set the tone for our day: BEGIN IT WITH A GRATEFUL HEART. 💛💛💛💛💛
I don't mean a grand gesture or a dramatic proclamation of some kind....I'm talking about a quiet moment, tucked into the soft edges of the morning. A simple "Thank you God" that I am alive.......and thank you for the beautiful but yet sometimes messy life that I get to live.
Being grateful does not erase the stress or the chores that we might see everyday, but it does soften these things.
Gratitude makes room for joy even on those days when I don't feel my best. Thank goodness!!!!
This morning, I was a being a bit lazy, just didn't want to get up......
During my time of laziness, I took a moment and placed my hand over my heart and thankfully, I could feel it beating. For me, this was proof that there is still a purpose and a promise for me, in the day ahead.
I'm here this morning wishing you a morning full of grace and praying that each of you experience a day wrapped in thankful moments.
shug.... 💛
Wise words, Shug...thank you for the reminder. And a blessed Sunday to you too. ~Andrea xoxo
ReplyDeleteShug, you sure have a way with words! I love that phrase - "a quiet moment, tucked into the soft edges of the morning"! Perfect way to start the day.
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday!
ReplyDeleteThank you Shug. Yes I do try to begin each morning with a heart of thankfulness. otherwise the brain starts spinning before I'm even up.

You sure do seem to have the soul of a poet. "The soft edges of the morning" is a beautiful phrase. You do have a way with words, and also encouragement! Ginny
ReplyDeleteI love your header all your bright colors. So happy. I totally agree with - BEGIN IT WITH A GRATEFUL HEART - so true - and you are right - it doesn't have to be huge.
ReplyDeleteSaying "thank you" to God is one of the first things I do every morning, Shug. And I agree that a gratitude attitude goes a long way in making an even stressful day easier. Have a blessed week!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite moments of the day are those precious seconds giving thanks to God. It doesn't mean all is right with my world; rather, that He is always there.
ReplyDeleteThank you for this beautiful message!
Reminds me of the little chorus, "Give thanks, with a grateful heart"....Thank you for that reminder. No matter how difficult life can get, we need to look to Jesus and thank Him for who He is, and for all He's done. We are blessed beyond measure. Amen.
ReplyDeleteI’m so thankful and full of gratitude for being at this place and time in God’s divine plan for my life. He is worthy to be praised.

I woke up frowning and worried and fretting and still talked to God and asked him to keep us safe while taking Bob to the doctor which is more than either of us can do easily. He blessed us, and I came home smiling and did a post about smiling
