Sunday Morning....May 25th? Can you believe that the END of May is already here? This month has passed fast.
Yesterday being Saturday, Mylee and I went into town (the bigger town closest to us) and our first stop was at "First Watch."
First Watch is a breakfast restaurant and it is always super busy. This place is not top on my list, but Mylee likes to eat there.
Here we are, waiting to be seated.
Hey....the fruit was very good!
After breakfast, we headed over to "At HOME."
Our purchase? Two lounge chairs for the pool and a lamp.
We both said we wish we had been video-ing the two of us trying to put the lounge chairs in my SUV. Believe me....it was hilarious!!
And then, there was a stop at target.....
We had to pick up sun screen. Sun screen is so very important especially in the Texas Sun.
Later in the evening....(Way later-past my bedtime of (9:00 P.M.)......Sam and I sat out by the pool....I'm including a short video.
We had such a nice evening enjoying how great it felt outside and viewing all the lights around the pool.
Today will be another quiet day around here and I hope it will be a good day of rest for Sam. The past few days have been a bit difficult for him. I have some friends ask me about the details of Sam's illness and I plan on doing a post on about it this next week. I'll talk abut What all is going on with his health and his treatments.
Wishing you all a wonderful day.....We have storms coming in this afternoon....possibility of large hail. 👀
Shug....
Shug...I loved hearing your voice as you sat by the pool. Such a beautiful way to end a busy day. I haven't been to a First Watch in years. There was on fairly close to where we used to live. It was a great place to go to after church.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your Sunday even with the storms and hail. Be safe
Hugs
Sue
Your Saturday sounded like a lot of fun , Shug. The evening near the pool also sounded great. I love your blog. You are a light in the world, Shug, and we all know how much the world needs light right now. You are a faithful blogger. I wish you a peaceful and happy Memorial Day. Susan
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you had a very nice Saturday! I loved hearing your voice on the pool video. It does look nice and peaceful. I hope you have a few quiet days and am praying that they will be better ones for Sam.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you about First Watch, but sometimes you have to let someone else choose.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a quiet, peaceful time today and tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteOh Shug, I heard there was going to be an "at home" shop coming about 50 minutes from me, and I can't wait to browse through the store. So glad you found two lounge chairs and a lamp. Your story reminds me of the time I crammed some lounge chairs from Target into my car many years ago. I kept saying to myself and the worker, "if there's a will, there's a way." haha. We do what we have to to get those precious items back to our home, right? That's a cute picture of you and Mylee, and that omelet looks better than it was I guess. No, I can't believe the end of May is upon us, as it's such a merry month. Loved the little video, and your pool and plants and outside area look so nice. I smile every time I hear your accent, Shug. You have such a pleasant voice.
ReplyDeleteHave a terrific week ahead.

Your pool area is just beautiful! What a nice day out with Mylee...and how can they mess up an omlete:(
ReplyDeleteYour pool setting's so pretty and tranquil, I feel like I'm looking at an exclusive resort/spa! (Love hearing your sweet voice!)
ReplyDeleteWe're getting a First Watch later this summer and I'm so excited. Looking at the online menu, however, I'm a bit concerned they're targeting those more health-conscious than me. (lol)
Oh my goodness - I LOVE your pool. How nice you and Sam have that. WOW! We have a First Watch about a block from us. I happen to really like it. I get the Eggs Benedict. Nice time you had with Mylee and good purchases. I am sure you had fun with her getting the items into the car. Relax tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteHere's to Sam and him having a good June.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, you should be a voice-over actor or read children’s books to children in the hospital or read to the blind. My goodness, you could read to me! You have the perfect southern accent. Love it.
ReplyDeleteI’ve not heard of First Watch until you mentioned it. I love breakfast places but only if they’re good. At Home is coming to my town and I thought of you when I heard. It is going into the old Costco where they’re repurposing it into a strip mall.
Kylee looks like you! Sounds like a fun day for the both of you. Your pool is beautiful and all your flowers. You’ve been busy.
You’re taking good care of Sam. I hope he starts to feeling better soon.
It's always good to have a girl day! I miss having those days with my granddaughter but they live too far for many girl days. Praying for Sam as well as you.
ReplyDeleteGrace & Peace,
Pam
Going out for breakfast is always a treat in my book. Sometimes it's more important who you're with than where you eat. The omelet at least looks good
ReplyDeleteThat looks very relaxing out there by the pool. A nice end to the evening.
Shug, I love hearing your voice :) I think we could just sit by the pool and talk and talk :)
ReplyDeleteAnd your day out sounds like memories were made. My babies always drag me to CFA and though I would rather eat something else, doing it for them makes it all ok. I hope the weather didn't get too crazy. I know Texas was expecting some storms and all this week too. Stay safe and cozy.
Your pool lights are mesmerizing, Shug! Glad you could spend Saturday with the beautiful Mylee, and I'm looking forward to your update on Sam later this week. Blessings alway!
ReplyDeleteI loved the video and hearing your sweet voice. Prayers continue for Sam...and for you.
ReplyDeletePrayers for Sam and of course for you too. Love the peace and quiet and beautiful view of the pool.
