Happy Birthday....🎉🎂 Today
Grandson #3
It is so wonderful to be able to celebrate family.... and today, I am soaking up yet another blessing. Our youngest grandson is celebrating his 22nd Birthday.

Buzzed, Bothered, and Blessed!
I keep thinking...if I get one more spam call, I'll answer with "thank you for calling Possum County Pest control. You bag it, we tag it....Press 1 for raccoons, 2 for snakes, and 3 for Possums.
Honestly, between the calls trying to renew a car warranty on a car we haven't had since 2009, and the ones claiming I've won a cruise.....My phone is working overtime.
Then, we have the high temps for Texas today.
We are expected to be in the 90's today and I can already hear the pavement sighing. I will sighing as well.
My other drama for the day is a great war I am involved in with the BEES. Those little nectar thieves have officially declared my hummingbird feeders as being theirs. One of the feeders this morning was so full of bees (no hummingbirds) that I'm pretty sure I heard them telling me to "Buzz off" and to get away from their nectar factory.
Here is the thing though....I'm still going to smile because NO 🐝, No spam calls, and No 🔥 hot temps are going to spoil my day.
We are to "REJOICE ALWAYS!"
1 Thessalonians 5:16
Yes...the calls are so frustrating and our heat is already being a bit relentless, and the bees are not welcome at my feeders, BUT......
There is still JOY in so many other things.
Like...Sam having a good day, a tall glass of sweet tea, and birthday celebrations.
And of course......Blogging!!

I SO appreciate your outlook on life, my friend. You, who have been dealing with the stress that comes when a loved one is having health issues, are still a shining light for Jesus and the way He is your strength. The photos today are beautiful...and I especially loved the one of the mom's praying with the bride to be. Happy Birthday to Trey! Praying for you and the Texas heat.
ReplyDeleteThank you Dianna. My days just go by so much easier if I keep a positive mind...Thank you also for the Birthday Wishes for Trey...We call him our Gentle Giant. He has the sweetest outlook on life and is always smiling.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Dianna - your testimony is shining! A positive mind set makes a difference to you and all around you.
ReplyDeleteThe wedding pics are beautiful and I love the one of the moms and bride praying.
Happy Birthday to Trey!
So sweet Mari...thank you. I will give Trey the Birthday wishes.
DeleteBee cause the wedding photos are beautiful and bee cause the bees can be relentless I like how you look at your world.
ReplyDeleteSo glad Sam is having a good day and you are loving your family and life any hoo.
I know these sentences are a horrible mess but i love you and this blog just the same.
Stay cool
Sue
I love the BEE cause that you added...cute! Thank you so much....I love you as well..
DeleteOh what a beautiful couple! Happy Birthday to your grandson! Knock on wood the car warranty and winning phone calls have stopped, I blocked them continually for a very long time. Do you have feeders with bee guards and do they help? Poor hummers have to coexist with bees:(
ReplyDeleteThank you Connie..I just ordered the bee guards...Went I purchased the feeders, I did not even think about the bee guards. Lesson Learned
DeleteWhat a lesson, your life! Right now I'm singing Sinatra's, "You gotta Ac-CENT-uate the positive, E-liminate the negative ... don't mess with Mr. Inbetween."
ReplyDeleteThese images are so heartwarming, particularly that of Emily and her two 'moms.'
Happy Birthday to Trey!
Now...I'm singing the song....lol. You are precious.
DeleteThe three of them in prayer brought a smile to my heart.
ReplyDeleteMine too Sandi....I thought it was so sweet of who ever it was to snap this photo.
DeleteWhere do I start? You have a honeymoon picture already - so cute. I love the mom's and bride praying. The wedding was beautiful. Happy birthday to Trey. Glad Sam is okay today. I heard it was getting hot there - thank goodness for iced tea. Love your positive attitude.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful, blessed day!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the sneak peeks into the wedding and honeymoon. I get very few spam calls. I wonder if it's because I never answer the phone if I don't recognize the number and they eventually drop me from their list?
ReplyDeleteHi, oh the wedding, oh the honeymoon. I love it and thank you for sharing the photos.
ReplyDeleteI do like your positive attitude my dear friend.
And that you spread it on to all of us. :-)
Ohhhh young love is so precious. Just looking into their eyes is promise and hope. I wish them the best possible life. The praying picture is priceless. So glad you snapped that photo to share with them as a visual reminder that their marriage was prayed over. Happy Birthday to your grandson. He resembles his granddad!
ReplyDeleteThe bees! I had an encounter with some bumblebees this morning. I do appreciate them though. We need our 🐝 You know, I smile all through your blog. I’m glad Sam is having good days. As for those telemarketing and spam calls - we just don’t answer. In fact I don’t know why we are still keeping that landline. I have been getting a few on my cell phone that have snuck through. But so far it hasn’t been too bad. I tend to get spam text messages.
Well it was a pleasure visiting with you today like always. Enjoy the rest of your day and evening. God bless you. You are a 💎
A positive mindset is essential for life. I always find your outlook refreshing!
ReplyDeleteWe get a lot of Spam calls, but just don't answer a number we don't recognize. Anyone else can leave a message if it happens to be someone we know. Well, bees are maybe even more important than hummingbirds. I have heard without bees, we would all have only four days to live!! Not sure if that's true, but I have heard it more then once. I think my favorite photo is kissing on the horses!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday, Trey. Congratulations to the newly weds.
ReplyDeleteOne way to deter spam callers is to "sell" them something. Say: How glad you called, are you interested in bee-keeping? We provide all the equipment for a starter kit as well as a bee colony for you to start a new hobby.
I do this all the time; often in different accents. It's so entertaining and it confuses the callers.
Or you can ask, "Is Sally there?" And pretend it was YOU who made the call rather than them calling you.
God bless.
Happy birthday to Trey. My third grandson is 22 at the weekend. Where did those years go?
ReplyDeleteI love the photographs of the bride and groom.
Love all the photos and that one of the bride and both mothers is so sweet.
ReplyDeleteI just love your attitude towards the les than wonderful things in life.
Congrats to the newly weds. Sweet pictures. Sorry about the heat and bees. Wonder if a different type of feeder would make a difference? This is the first year in awhile that I've not put a feeder out for the Hummingbirds. I seemed to have an ant problem when I did the last couple of years and couldn't keep them out of the feeders. I read that dirty feeders keep the birds away, so it was a double wammy. I even put ant traps under the pole that the feeders hung from; but that didn't seem to help. Good luck with the bees
ReplyDeleteCongrats to them. Happy birthday to Trey. My grandson just turned 12.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I'm getting phone calls about a warranty of a truck we once owned, ugh. I hope those bees get away from your hummingbird feeder. Those hummers are the most precious little things to watch. A beautiful picture of the bride and groom, and that is the most special photo of them praying on their wedding day. I'm so glad to hear Sam had a good day. And thank you for that wonderful Thessalonians verse. It is a beautiful reminder.
ReplyDelete~Sheri
Aww, what a beautiful picture at the top of Mr. and Mrs. Booth, and of the mammas praying for the bride.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, there's always something we can find to be thankful for, even in the midst of our trials and tribulations.
I have call block on my landline, so I don't get many spam calls. Without it, I could go nuts, haha.
At first, I thought they were crying on the wedding day.
