Take a look at this beauty.
Our Mimosa tree is really showing out this year.
The tree is completely covered in the most beautiful red blooms.
Patented "Flame" mimosa.
Today is full of possibility!! Like.... possibly a few loads of laundry completely folded or hung up..... a few errands..... and some re-heated coffee.
Life may not always be wrapped up in glitter and tied with the perfect bow, but it is sprinkled with small wins. Like....for example, me looking out the window and seeing the gorgeous blooms on my mimosa tree.
Tuesday's deserve as much love as any other day....and today I plan on giving this Tuesday a lot of love. The reason why? Tuesday's are what real life is made up of and it is a day where good stuff lives. Here is one bright spot for my Tuesday...it is "Trash Day." There is something downright refreshing about dragging those bins to the curb...saying goodby to the clutter. It makes me feel as if I've made a clean slate around the place.
It is also "Senior Citizens Day" at the grocery store! Hey, 10% off the total bill helps a whole lot!
Yesterday's Birthday Girl....She LOVES to dress up!!
Let today be a gentle reminder that God doesn't need a special day to do something amazing....and Tuesday's never try to impress anyone...they are just here to remind us that blessings often come in the middle of the week when we least expect them.
Great Big ol' hugs to each of you..
Shug
The mimosa tree is beautiful! Yay for ordinary days from me, too. Blessings . . .
ReplyDeleteYour mimosa blooms are amazing - so beautiful and such a gorgeous colour.
ReplyDeleteWe don't get Mimosa blooms around here, so I love seeing your gorgeous blooms!
ReplyDeleteGood thoughts on Tuesdays. Our trash pick up is on Wed and so is Senior Day at the grocery story. Unfortunately we only get 5% off but it's better than nothing.
That's an adorable birthday girl.
Your mimosa tree's blooms are gorgeous, Shug! Yes, no matter what day of the week it is, God is always standing by to bless us. Have an amazing day!
ReplyDeleteTrash collection is on Thursday here, and there are no discounts on groceries at my employee-owned grocery store - the prices are lower than anywhere in town. There is a place I visit occasionally; they offer a 5% senior discount on Wednesdays, but I'm never able to make it there. I can for the summer, now that I think of it. They sell certain products that my store doesn't.
ReplyDeleteThe Mimosa is gorgeous. Does it have a fragrance?
Gorgeous mimosa! Today's "trash day" here in Coosada, as well. Until now, I never thought what a blessing those men in the big green machine are. I don't think either of the grocery stores we patronize have "Seniors Day" .... I need to investi-Google that!
ReplyDeleteWow that tree is a beauty! Hoe lucky are you to have it in your yard! 10% at the grocery store now that is a good deal! Around here there are not many discounts...tourists you know:)
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable glittery polka dot dress. Love how your background matches your beautiful header today. I have never seen a mimosa with such a gorgeous deep intense color! I guess it is because of your Flame variety. All the ones here are pale pink.
ReplyDeleteNice photos, Happy Birthday.
ReplyDeletethecontemplativecat here. Magnolia blooms are so beautiful. NEver knew magnolias had such. Collection day is today. for just us two, we manage to fill them up---recycling, trash and garden cuttings.
ReplyDeleteI am a big fan of ordinary days. Everyday has its small wins. I LOVE trash day! Funny that I found someone else who does. Mine is Monday morning, so I start the week off fresh! lol
ReplyDeleteI love Mimosa trees.
ReplyDeleteVery, very, very cool tree. I'd be taking billions of close-ups and macro shots. What a fun looking bit of nature you've got there.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning photos.
ReplyDeleteI've always liked Tuesdays, and it is "trash day" here as well. Your Mimosa tree is beautiful, Shug. The color is stunning. Senior Citizens Day at the Grocery Store! Have never heard of that one. I'll have to ask about that. Happy Birthday to your little one. Such a cutie. You're right, there is a sense of de-cluttering on trash day.
ReplyDeleteHave a terrific week, Shug. Your posts are like a breath of fresh air. ; )

Beautiful tree!! I love my everyday life. I'm with the Society of Friends. Every day is special.
ReplyDeleteI never thought of taking out the trash as special - lol. Tuesday is our day too. I love your flaming mimosas! They are stunning. What type of grocery store gives you 10%. We have nothing like that here.
ReplyDeleteYour Mimosa tree is absolutely beautiful, Shug! And the birthday girl is beautiful as well! I enjoyed your thoughts on Tuesday a lot.
ReplyDeleteThe Mimosa tree is beautiful. What a treat to look out your window and see that. Senior discount day is something to get excited about. The store I used to work at had senior day on Wednesday for 62 and over. The first time I was able to get my discount I was so excited. It wasn't much but just getting it was something to celebrate.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a Mimosa tree! Had no idea! What a beautiful sight though :) I love Mondays, but Tuesdays leave me dragging, for some reason. But now that it's Wednesday, have a great and blessed day :)
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever seen a mimosa tree. Or maybe even heard of one. But, oh my, what a beauty! I can see how those blooms outside your window would make any random Tuesday a beautiful day!! Hope this Thursday is also special:)
