My "Try it Thursday" smoothie!!
Here I am, trying my best at embarking on my new healthy eating journey.
This week's "Try-it-Thursday" is all about green goodness.....aka.. a smoothie with fruits and Spinach.
Some of you may already do this....others may be thinking..Spinach? In a fruit drink?
Today I am actually trying the Friday smoothie shown above. It is going to consist of spinach, watermelon, and pineapple...I'm adding a bit of almond milk and ice.
Here is what I am expecting:
First sip: Not bad
Second sip: okay, still surviving
Third sip: questioning my choices
Fourth sip: Hey, this isn't bad and it's healthy
Cheers to my new baby steps, my brave tastebuds, and to my "Try it Thursday." 🥂
I'll keep you updated....LOL
One Day At A Time!!
Shug...🥂
You're a hoot. Enjoy your try it thursday. Happy Drinking!
ReplyDeleteYou are brave ! That is way to many things at once for me:)
ReplyDeleteI used to juice - had a juicer. I like spinach better than kale. Sounds good and I may start introducing a juice drink once a week or so for us again. You’re inspiring me!
ReplyDeleteI have to go easy on greens but I might just TRY spinach in my blue berries and vanilla soy milk 10 am snack. maybe/maybe not. I love my smoothies, 2 a day with the 2nd mange/strawberries/pb powder and soy milk at dinner time.. they are delish and like an icecream soda twice a day and the spinach might make it not taste good. I am trying for the vitamins, not weight loss. I did that 8 years ago, by giving up sugar
ReplyDeleteIt actually sounds pretty good, Shug. Yes, let us know how you liked it. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteGood for you! ❤️
ReplyDeleteGood for you for trying new things. I just can't wrap my head around spinach in a smoothie. Somehow it just doesn't want to go down.
ReplyDeleteWorking hard on eBay today and gathering the needed documents for "Real ID" What a pain to have to do it when I already have my Drivers License...more money going away.

Hmmm, that doesn't sound too bad. Good way to get some greens in.
ReplyDeletethecontemplativecat here. That is do-able, and I might even like it. Your sips say a lot.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds good. You have a lovely blog and I love ❤️ the way you have it set up.
ReplyDeleteGood for you, I am proud of you! It is so easy to backslip. I would not be this brave for sure. Again, what a stunning post header and background!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the prompt. I made a smoothie right after I read this -- spinach, blueberries, gala apples honey, whole milk. So I have two glasses of instant breakfast. Or snack. The spinach blended right in to the purple result and it's good.
ReplyDeleteFollowing! Tom bought him a Ninja and protein powder last year ... that's sat largely unused. Now? I love spinach (not so much fruit) and feeling the tug to discover some Keto-friendly combinations. Do you use the smoothie in place of a 'real' meal?
ReplyDeleteI always use a banana and spinach to my smoothies, as well as protein powder and a scoop of dry oatmeal to make it a complete meal with protein, carbs, and fruit/vegetables.
ReplyDeleteI really need to start doing something like this. It sure is an interesting combination. Sometimes the things that sound the worst taste the best.
ReplyDeleteI never tried Spinach ....I should try next time....
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing new knowledge....
Smoothies are so great for getting those fruits and veggies. I recently tried adding 1/4 to 1/2 an avocado it it makes the smoothie super creamy, if you like that sort of thing. I'd think Wednesdays would be my favorite, a safe choice. I've never tried blackberries in my smoothies! Great idea.
ReplyDeleteI love spinach, but I am not a smoothie person. I like to eat my food, not drink it. Sorry. But I wish you well. It's just the textures that get to me. Otherwise I might try it. I hope it works for you. I truly do. I guess I could pretend it's a milkshake, right? LOL.
ReplyDeleteDon't you have something with peanut butter and chocolate? Just kidding. They do look good and healthy!
ReplyDeleteI never could get into smoothies. I enjoy all of the ingredients, just not blended together!
ReplyDeleteWe used to have the Ninja blender, but gave it away when we moved. That looks like ONE healthy Smoothie. So good of you to be on this new healthy eating journey. That is dedication for sure. I'm a pretty healthy eater, but I have to have my chocolate. ; ) Have a blessed weekend, Shug.
