Bridal Shower
Blessings were overflowing on Sat. 3-8-25
for Carson and Emily ......"The Groom and Bride to be!"
The shower was held at a venue in a neighboring town....
This venue was once an Old Schoolhouse. The owners have turned it in to a lovely place for all kinds of events.
The big windows at the venue brought back so many memories... For me, it was like stepping back in time. The windows brought back memories of the old school building where I attended 4th, 5th and 6th grade classes.
Back to the Shower!!
Not only was this the perfect place for the wedding shower, but the decorations were absolutely gorgeous. A huge balloon arch was at the center of the room, with white cloth, covered tables and cute wooden chairs.
Greenery, small vases of flowers and different photos of Emily and Carson adorned each table as centerpieces.
This lovely couple received so many gifts and were showered with so much LOVE.
Not only were they gifted with household items and decorative decor, but also outdoor essentials such as a grill, a yard blower, a ladder and tools.

Thank you for your prayers for Mylee. Her plane landed safely last night around 10:30.
She is ready for this exciting week of her missions trip! Please keep my youngest daughter (Shanda) in your prayers this week as well. She left early this morning for a week long SPARC trip with High School Students, traveling via Motorcoach, heading North.
The sun is shining brightly this morning. We did have a heavy frost last evening and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that No new buds on the trees are damaged.
"Wherever you go, no matter what the weather might be, always bring your own sunshine." 🌞
Shug.....
Ps: Please keep Sam in your prayers...One of his long time employees passed away yesterday. Dennis was a huge asset to the company and will be greatly missed.
What an exquisite shower - I just loved the place where it was held and how nicely they decorated it. It truly was so pretty. She received so many wonderful gifts too - how many people came?
ReplyDeleteI recognized you and your two daughters. Emily (congrats). Not sure about the others but everyone looked so beautiful.
I am thankful Mylee got to Guatemala safely. Prayers for the week she is there too. They do have people that watch them there.
Also, prayers for Sam's worker that passed away. So sad.
Love, sandie
What a nice shower! So sad for Sam to lose a trusted employee, prayers for everyone.
ReplyDeleteThe shower looks wonderful! I love old school houses and can see it was a great venue. I enjoyed the photos.
ReplyDeleteThankful that Mylee arrived safely. Now praying for Shanda - sounds like she'll be tired after this one.
I'm sorry for the loss of Dennis, prayers for his family and the work group and Sam.
First of all, my apologies. The blog friends on my sidebar doesn't show your blog, no matter how many times I've tried to put you at the top. I haven't been over to see you as I didn't think there was a new post. The shower looks absolutely marvelous. Love all the pictures, the colors. What a happy time. So sorry to hear of the loss of a dear friend and co worker. Will hold the family in our prayers. Hugs
ReplyDeleteWanda, I have the same problem with some blogs. Not sure how to get them to show up.
DeleteOh the shower looks so beautiful and like everyone had a wonderful time. Terrific photos.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry for the loss of your friend. Praying for the Peace that passes all understanding.
Happy to hear of the safe arrival of Mylee and praying for her and for Shanda too.

Thank you for sharing these great images from the shower! Right away, looking at those windows, I was transported back to Central Elementary -- regularly chastised for looking out the windows and not paying attention.
ReplyDeleteEveryone looks so happy, and I love your dress.
Prayers lifted for travel mercies .... and aching hearts, too.
Prayers coming up! I am so glad you updated us on Mylee, I have been praying for her safety. The bride is so beautiful. And YOU are looking so pretty, I love your dress!
ReplyDeleteLove this so much! What a stunning venue. 😍 Such beautiful pics and wishing the best for the new couple-to-be. Prayers offered up for your kiddos! Have a very blessed week ahead my Friend. 🙏🏻💗
ReplyDeleteEverything looks so pretty, and the bride-to-be is a beautiful girl.
ReplyDeleteI am not so good with acronyms. What does SPARC stand for?
Just said a little prayer for peace and comfort for Sam.
Awww...congratulations to the soon to be married couple! I hope that they will be very happy together. The venue for the bridal shower is lovely.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear about Mylee having safely landed. I know the Lord will bless her for being a part of the team on this missions trip.
Praying for your daughter Shanda as she travels this week also.
And for Sam as he goes through this time without Dennis. xx
What a wonderful time to celebrate the bride-to-be. She's absolutely stunning, and I can only imagine how exciting this moment is for your already BIG family.
ReplyDeleteThe Schoolhouse venue looks amazing. I find it heartwarming to see old places, like the schoolhouse in my town that’s been beautifully transformed into a restaurant. My son worked there for a time, and it’s inspiring how these older spaces can be lovingly repurposed rather than lost to time.
I'm so glad to hear Mylee has settled in and is there now; what a blessing for her! I am saddened to hear about your husband’s best employee. That’s an incredibly tough loss, and it’s never easy to lose someone so valuable who was both a friend and an asset to the team. My prayers are with you all during this time.
What a lovely shower. They got some really nice gifts.
ReplyDeleteHappy to hear that Mylee arrived safe and sound. Safe travels to Shanda.
Condolences to Sam on the loss of his long time employee.
What a beautiful venue and shower! ❤️
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a wonderful shower with some very useful gifts.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful day to celebrate young love.
ReplyDeletethecontemplativecat here. Our daughter's wedding was at an old school house that had been converted to be a charming place to host such a great event. Wonderful choice.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful venue! I love old schoolhouses. I'm glad your granddaughter is safe :) I'm sorry about your friend who passed away. Life is full of blessings and sorrow, always going back and forth. But the Lord is always with us, thankfully.
ReplyDeleteeveryone looks wonderful and the schoolhouse is perfect for a shower. sorry the sad things happen at the same as happy ones do. I know the employee will be missed by family and work place friends.

ReplyDeleteWhat a nice shower, Shug. Everything looks wonderful. The BIG E and C in the window are delightful. That is so neat that you went to school at this old Schoolhouse. I really like your dress. Those long dresses are IN right now, and I wore a similar one to a fundraiser dinner last year. I'm so sorry to hear about Sam's employee. And I will say a prayer for Shanda's trip with her high school students. : )
