Podcast

Welcome to "Shug-Steps of Faith," where stories come to life, memories find a voice, and a little bit of humor keeps everything in balance.  I'm Shug, the writer behind (shug-stepsoffaith) a place where I've been capturing life's moments....BIG and small, ever since 2010.

Whether it's faith, family, nostalgia, or just a good ol' story, this podcast is an extension of the words I've shared on my blog.  So, grab a cup of coffee, get comfy, and let's dive into the stories that make life so rich.

Wasn't that fun?  That would be my introduction if I were to have a podcast.

Do any of you listen to PODCAST?

I DO!  Every single evening, I listen to Steven Furtick, Jentezen Franklin, Pastor Robert Madu, OR Dr. David Jeremiah.
My ritual is to climb into bed, turn the box fan on high, evening prayer time, put Air pods in my ears and tune in to one of these podcast.

The Christian podcasts that I listen to, help me to reflect on God's word and they deepen my faith.  I enjoy the encouraging topics, motivational messages, devotions and Bible teachings.
Do any of you have any go-to podcast that strengthens your faith or simply brings you joy?  Would you mind sharing them with me?  I am always open to new recommendations.

A few Funnies below ↓↓

"Starting a podcast is just a socially acceptably way of making your friends listen to you for a hour."

"Podcasts: For when you want to talk to people but also want to control the entire conversation?

"The first rule of podcasting: You'll spend 10 minutes recording and 3 hours editing out your 'Ums" and Awkward pauses."

Wishing you all a very Blessed Thursday!

Shug

  1. I have not listened to any but I saw an ad for Hallow...parts of it are free as it is subscription based. I like free stuff myself.

    1. Wow - That's a pretty nasty comment, rude to Debby and also to Shug's blog. Israel is not the one who attacked, murdered women and children and took hostages.

    2. I just deleted that rude comment...

  3. I love that you call it a ritual. I have listened to Dr. David Jeremiah. Is he still with us? I think he's great.

Not podcasts, per se, but I like these:

Beeta Bug (a sweet lady who talks about what the Lord has done in her life)
Mark Murchison (a simple man who walks around his property in Maine and talks about the Lord)
Pastor Bob Joyce (Household of Faith): people think he's Elvis. Seriously, go look. ☺️

I saw Sandi's comment and I have seen about Pastor Bob Joyce and that people think he's Elvis!

  9. I'm with Sandie (Chatty), I'd love to hear your voice. Do you have a 'Texas twang' like Sam? (I miss that sort of speak.)
My son's all the time urging me to listen to Joe Rogan. Maybe if I can figure how to keep my air pods in place I'll give it a go.

  10. I can't listen to anyone talking on any device, radio or audio books or documentaries. I am a visual person, and find myself wandering off. My brother listens to them a lot and millions of Americans do to. the job I retired from required 4 days 8 hrs of continuing education, and I went because I had to but never heard what they said, it was background to inside my head. I do like some of the shows like Good morning America, but have not been able to watch any of those because bob has the remote.
I used to teach the Bible Studies because I could not listen to them, I have to read and study alone to find out what to teach and I learn that way. that is why I had a horror in highschool.. C student because know one new I was visual and could not learn from listening.
