Hula Hoop and More

We made it Friends!!! Friday is here and I don't know about you, but I feel like I deserve a gold star 🌟 or perhaps a delicious cookie 🍪 or maybe some confetti 🎉 of some kind.

This past week, I went to the chiropractor, got a shot in my knee, and turned the corner on the nausea feeling I've been having. All of this may even deserve me having a scoop of ice cream!

The weekend is almost here, so I propose we  celebrate in the most ridiculous way.  Grab your Hula Hoop and lets do a few spins.  It will be fun to spin into the weekend my friends....just don't throw your back out trying to have a little fun.  I look forward to ANY bragging rights that you might post about how many minutes (seconds) you were able to keep the hula hoop spinning.

I have a wedding shower to attend on Saturday. Grandson #3 and his lovely soon to be bride will be showered with some wonderful gifts.  Later....a little shopping for Mylee Jo as she leaves for her Mission trip this Sunday. (Please keep Mylee and her group in your prayers as they travel to Guatemala)

Let's embrace this day....and whether you have plans for a productive weekend, or just plan on being in a horizontal position on your sofa, I hope your FRIDAY and your weekend is filled with Love, Happiness, Peace and just enough mischief to keep life interesting... Big Hugs to each of you on this wonderful Friday, March 7th.

Shug.....

PS:

Our March is still playing its little game of "Is it Winter? 🌨 Is it Spring" 🌷." I guess this is just part of the charm of the seasons.

This week, I have worn sweat shirts, joggers and most definitely my socks.  A couple of days, I wore short sleeves, jeans and flip flops.

Crazy Weather....Just spinning around like my infamous Hula Hoop!!

  1. Oh Shug, this made me smile, because at one time back in the day, I was great at Hula Hoop. It was one of those fun things to do growing up. I don't quite remember how many times it went around my waist until it fell, but I do remember being quite good at it. Love the delightful picture that you shared. Saying a prayer for Mylee as she takes her trip to Guatemala. How exciting for her. You are having sporadic weather lately. But that's Ok, gives you a chance to wear your flip flops. ; ) One of my favorite sandals, by the way. Have a lovely weekend, Shug. It's always a pleasure to come over and visit with you.

  2. Your weekend sounds delightful. Mine will be pretty mundane but that's okay. We've had enough health Drama lately..ready for some "just plain days".
I used to be pretty good at the hula hoop too. Now I don't think I dare try. Its a really cute picture of the gal doing the hoop.
Enjoy your bridal shower and shopping. Perfect for the days ahead.

  4. How I wish I had a hula hoop and might join you! Aren't showers great fun? I even enjoy the (sometimes) silly game playing. I'll bet Mylee's so excited about that upcoming mission trip; of course, I'm adding her to my prayer list for travel mercies. Hang onto your hat and have a super weekend! Hugs!

  5. It's snowing here, so our weather is definitely not cooperating with Spring!
What a shame, I have no hula hoop. I would probably hurt myself trying!
Have fun at the shower. I have one next week.

  6. You actually deserve a huge hot fudge sundae for getting through this past week!! When I was a kid, I was the Hula Hoop Queen!! I even did it around my neck, which made my mother go out of her mind. I hope you post photos of the shower and shopping. I will pray for Mylee, I remember her from when she was so little! I don't know anything about Guatemala, need to brush up on my facts about it!

I have a weighted hoop and It's good exercise (when I can get up off the couch - lol). Our weather. in Central NY has been snowy for quite a while and i am ready for spring!

  8. I'll do a Hula Hoop weekend with you. First of all, I am glad you feel better. Weddings and showers are so much fun! I know you are excited. I wonder if Mylee is going to the same place in Guatemala my grandson went to years ago. Prayers for her trip. I just learned I will be going to a baby shower later this year. My grandson and his wife are about 12 weeks pregnant; they got some test to find out what sex it was early so we should know soon. PS I did have ice cream today from Brewster's. Do you have one? It was a no-no for me, but I did it anyway.

  10. Wow, I felt the eXcItEmEnT of this post - so much that I'm hula-ing without a hula hoop! Now I'm humming, the Hukilau Song. I used to be good at the Hula Hoop. It came out in 1958. I remember getting one. The old L3 L4 might scream at me if I do it too long!
Have fun at the shower - How exciting for Mylee - We had a lovely day - sunny and 65 but still cool in the morning hours.
    Have a wonderful weekend.

  13. If I felt better I'd actually take you up on the hula hoop challenge! Did you know that larger hoops are much easier to use than smaller ones?

  17. Back in the day I used to be pretty good with a hoola hoop. Now I can't even get it to go around once. I seem to have forgotten the technique.
