Just Stuff

It's a Rainy morning around here. We woke up to the sound of our phones ringing, giving us a severe Weather warning.

Presently: We have pouring down rain!

My plans today:

Go into town and shop for a wedding shower gift.
Do some shopping for Tammy!
(Getting ready for Spring Break at the Village where Tammy lives. They will be doing all kinds of fun things like pajama day, crazy sock day, Dr. Seuss Day, Wear Red and White Stripes day.)

My plans may have to change!

#########

I love Animal Crackers!  They are my go to snack with just 90 calories in a half of the bag.

Last evening was a bit disappointing!

The only animals in my package were a cow and a horse!  No monkeys, no camels, no seal, no bear!  I feel cheated!  LOL.
*******

If you all will allow me...I wanted to post a few  family pictures to be included in my blog book.

This girl made 1st team All-District
in Basketball.

And this grandson....Day one of a new journey in his military career. He is nearing year 9 of his military service and now a new adventure.
Super Proud of Him.

Tammy....after participating in the FRESH race this past Saturday.  All of the participants in the yellow t-shirts live at the home where Tammy lives.  The sponsors of this race are so good about including these men and women who have so many different kinds of disabilities.  I am so thankful that the residents get to experience this.

I Want to give a BIG Shout out of sincere THANKS to Racquet and Jog.  They donated a pair of HOKA tennis shoes to every single resident of BVT for this race.

I'll leave y'all with this .....

  2. Rain...rain...go away...don't like the prospect of severe weather warnings...be safe and happy shopping. We have to head out for some groceries and to fill our car's tank. It seems there is always something that needs to be done.
Love the family photos. What company do you use for your blog books? I have been lax for the last 3 years and desperately need to get them done. I would hate to loose all the memories and photos.
Animal crackers are a favorite of mine too. Yes, you were definitely cheated !! haha
Hope the next bag will be better.

  4. You're right, I'm singing along ... Hey! Hey!
I hope by now the severe weather's passed y'all by; I'm just praying it makes a sharp right before our (predicted) big blow tonight.
You always find the best images to include here, but I think my favorite is the pure JOY on Tammy's face.

  5. We’re rainy today too but I’m enjoying it. ☔️ I used to eat animal crackers and graham crackers back when I had a daycare. Yeah I think I’d be bummed as well. Congratulations on your family achievements! Your grandson won’t regret his military career and the pension that he will rightfully and deservedly earns after 20. You don’t get those benefits in the civilian sector.
Okay, I did sing the coffee song - 🎢 it just came out. I couldn’t help it!
    Enjoy your shopping. πŸ›️

  6. Oh my gosh, I did sing along. You know how much I love my coffee. Sipping it right now reading your sweet blog. Aren't animal crackers the best? I used to get them for my kids, now for me! haha These are great pics of your family for your blog book. That is really nice that this organization donated tennis shoes to all the residents. Dr. Seuss Day sounds fun! I hope you share that one. And lastly, enjoy your rain! That's always a good thing. A delightful post today, Shug, and I love your bright cheerful side bars. So Springy looking.

  11. Only 2 types of animals in your package of animal crackers? That is disappointing.
That is so nice of the place that donated the tennis shoes for all those residents.
Yep, I sang that thing about coffee :)

  13. Yes, I confess, Shug - I DID sing it - LOL! So happy that there are so many organizations that help people like Tammy with love and caring. When I was a kid, animal crackers were a favorite of mine, for sure. Blessings, and thanks for visiting my blog today!

  16. I love animal crackers! And we had a horrible storm yesterday! It felt like a small hurricane blew through and then the sky cleared and it was beautiful :) Such is Texas!

  17. It's super dark outside right now, so waiting on the rain to start at any minute. It rained some during the night, so it's ugly out and looks like it will be that way most of the day. The car has lots of pollen on it, so the rain will help with that. I didn't know they still made animal crackers. I'm going to have to look the next time I'm at the store. Bummer you didn't get a nice variety. Nice pictures of your family. You have every right to be proud.

My day was full of wires and cables... blue cables, yellow cables, white cables and black wires.  Oh, and one red cable!   I have to first...
