A Wednesday Post...

 Happy Wednesday, friends!

I'm pretty sure that you have all had your coffee by now, which means you MIGHT be able to add a few skips to the rest of your day.  😂

My heart test is done and now to wait for the results....most likely it I won't have these for a couple of days.

Just have to tell y'all...it is gorgeous around here.  Purple Wisteria is blooming everywhere and the dogwood trees are about to open in fully.

I've been working on some changes for our bedroom..  Needed a new bedspread and new curtains.

I've had the quilt for the bed for a couple of weeks now, but I had to order the curtains.
Yesterday, I had a message from UPS saying that my package would be arriving between 2:00 and 6:00 PM.

I waited, but no delivery.  Last evening we went to bed around 9:00..(early I know, but we knew we had to get up early this morning to be at the hospital by 7:45).
Back to the Story....

At 9:50 I heard my phone ding.....it was a message from UPS that my package had just been delivered.  I didn't want my package to be on the porch overnight, so I had to get up and go bring it in.  Took me at least an hour to go back to sleep...

Curtains are now hung!!  Woo Hoo!!
You can't really tell in this photo, but those are Blue stripes/checks in the curtains.

Now to finish with the decor in this room.

The UPS work some late hours for sure!

I'm definitely going to try this recipe!
We love squash...it's easy to grow....and in this photo, they look delicious!

  1. I'm glad the heart tests are all done and praying the results will be A - OK.
That late delivery is crazy , but at least you got it and the beautiful curtains are now hanging in your bedroom. We need a new bedspread too..Our CalKing is so expensive to replace, so we keep making do.
Love your wisteria. Ours is pretty pitiful this year. /the weather and lack of rain for a while didn't do much good.
Oh well, rain is in the forecast for the next few days.
Always like coming here for my shot of positivity.

  2. I'm glad you have your test behind you now. Prayers continue for a great outcome. I love wisteria. I grew up in an Italianate style brick farmhouse that had a beautiful front porch that stretched across the width of the house. My grandma started wisteria across the front of the porch, training it as a vine. I loved it. Your new bedding and curtains are so pretty, Shug. Sending hugs your way.

  3. the stump guy makes me SMILE.. the wisteria makes me miss my aunt, the squash is so easy even I can do it. will add squash to my list. no growing going on here.
love the bright airy look of your curtains and quilt.. Amazon delivers until 10 pm, it said between 6 and 10. I went to bed, my email doesn't ding, I had to silence everything because bob gets really upset.. it was a new printer, and I thought great, now someone will steal it.. I woke for potty break at 12 midnight and there it sat, by the time I jacked it up to get it inside, I did not get back to sleep at all.. now I choose another delivery time.

  5. Your bedspread is gorgeous, and the curtains will go with anything. I think you may need a nap. Or an extra cup of coffee.

  6. I noticed the other day that the dust ruffle had a large tear in it, so it's probably time to start the process of getting a new one (which of course means a new quilt also :-)

  8. thecontemplativecat here. Good choices on quilt and drapes! I am more homespun and farm girl than regular store provide. I have gotten a few things on Amazon. But, the best quilt + at an estate sale. It is exactly what I wanted.

Good idea on the squash! I usually keep some on hand for our pups ..... and even as a substitute for those times I'm craving something I don't need.
    Love the wisteria!

  13. I'm reading a day late so I'm still on my first cup of coffee. Those curtains are fantastic. I've had late deliveries like that before and like you, have to bring them in so they don't sit outside all night.
    Love that tree, so creative.

  15. I bet it is nice to see the flowers blooming and brightening the landscape. UPS is sure running late, I have been told that they have to finish their routes every day no matter how long it takes.

  16. It's amazing what a new bedspread and curtains can do! I love to change things up a few times a year. And that tree guy is so fun! I might have to do that in my yard :) Hope your test comes out fantastic, Shug.

So on the squash do you just add cheese, salt, and pepper? Looks great.

  19. Hi Shug! I finally decided it's time to get acquainted with you! Thank you for your comment on my blog...and I see you on a lot of my friends' blogs, so I thought, well, she looks like someone I need to know too! So how do you do? I LOVE your bed/bedspread, and those curtains are lovely, even IF UPS brought them so late! What on earth? You'd think it was Christmas to be making such late deliveries! LOL. Oh, your wisteria looks so pretty. I am seeing a lot of it around here now too, and it is just beautiful. That squash looks great, I may have to try it. I get tired of fixing it the same old way all the time. The tree stump guy is a real hoot! Love it! Well, it's really nice getting to know you. Hope to see you again soon!
