Weekend adventures, some fog and a necklace

Monday......February 24th.....ALREADY?

Did everyone have a good weekend?

Saturday and Sunday were busy days around here.
Seems like all we did was EAT.

We have a new Italian restaurant in town, which means.......we had to try it out.
Sam and I had dinner there on Sat. evening.
I can tell you that the bread was truly awesome!  I ordered eggplant parmesan, Sam had chicken parmesan.  My brother and SIL joined us and they ordered a pizza...it looked amazing.

Sunday.....we had lunch with Trista at
Jason's Deli.   Another awesome meal.

Trista had one of their new salads..
Her bowl was packed full of greens, several different kinds of nuts and fruits & feta cheese.

I had 1/4 of a muffaletta sandwich along with an assortment of fruit and dip.  Sam had a chicken salad sandwich..

Stuffed?  We were stuffed, but it did not stop us from having Mexican Food Sunday evening.

It was a enchiladas for Sam and a plate of one taco, rice and avocado tostada for me.

It's back to dieting this week for both of us!

➰➰➰➰➰➰➰➰➰➰➰➰➰➰➰➰➰➰➰➰

We woke up to Fog this morning....

I had an 8:30 appointment this morning in the BIG city, and the fog was so bad in several places....

Glad that I left early enough to be able to go slow...visibility was so bad...

I may need one of these necklaces!!
My cholesterol shot this morning hurt like crazy.  It would be so much easier to bite a pill off of a necklace wouldn't it?

Weekend adventures included....

Finding the perfect PROM dress for MJ.
Baby William got his first haircut.
We took a 5 generation picture with Sam's dad.
Watched Church on TV
Did NOT cook!!!!
Went to Target and Ulta
ATE....ATE...&...ATE
Stopped in at the EXPENSIVE store ❌

BTW....Mylee did not buy anything
with her gift card. Everything cost way more than the amount on her
 card which was $30.00

Mondays are proof that we survived
and are ready for new challenges...

Hope you all Laugh your way through this week...Laughter is good for the soul..

  2. Good afternoon, my sweet friend. It sounds as though you had a lovely time eating this past weekend! The food that you pictured looks amazing! Especially that salad! WOW! How sweet...the very first hair cut! Don't they just look so much older afterwards than they did when they sat down in the chair? And a five-generation picture...that's so cool! I grew up in a multi-generational home, so that really speaks to my heart. Have a wonderful rest of your day, Shug. xx

  3. Growing up on the pacific coast, that’s the kinda fog I learned to drive in. The 5 generation photo is awesome. I hope you share it with us! Enjoy today!

  5. Sounds like you had a perfectly wonderful weekend! Your food sounds delicious. But that fog was crazy!
A first haircut is so sweet, but they sure grow too fast, don't they?
Hope you can share that 5 generation photo!

  6. And Good Times were had by all! I love to eat out! There's just 'something' about restaurant food someone brings to my chair that tastes better than what I prepare at home. That and portion control, lol!

  8. You did have a lot of fog there and what a BUSY weekend. So, you did not get the buffet at Jason's Deli - I love their buffet. Sounds like you had plenty of good eating - good times - good company.

  9. Some weeks are sure like yours..eating non-stop and dieting on Monday. Everything sounded wonderful though and I'm glad you were able to get some family photos.
Love that cartoon about the necklace..too funny.
Heavy fog is really scary. We used to contend with it a lot where we used to live in Pacifica, CA. Lots of praying every time we went any place.

  10. Yes, it certainly was a foggy morning for you, Shug. Good thing you had a head start to your appointment. And the food and family over the weekend? What could be better? I would love to see your 5-generation photo, too. Hope you'll share it with us soon. Blessings!

  11. I would never have been brave enough to drive in this fog!! We had a Jason's Deli for a few years, then it closed down and is now a bank. I have never heard of getting injections for high cholesterol. We both take a pill a say. Did you find the perfect dress? Will you be showing it?

  18. Foggy and misty days are so pretty to me, but I do not like driving in them. That must have been scary for you, Shug. All the food sounds delicious, but that salad looks really yummy and healthy. I hope she finds the perfect prom dress. It's such a special night to remember always. : )
