The magic of a the Holiday season has begun.
Last evening, our oldest daughter took her grandchildren to ride the Polar Express. Accompanying them was her daughter and daughter-in-laws.
This experience is a journey where imagination and wonder collide.. I have actually enjoyed this adventure a few times with my niece (Tammy) and there truly is something magical about the ride.
This Polar Express ride is not just any ol' train ride...it is a journey into a child's heart. The story unfolds through readings, songs, and interactions with characters like Santa and all his helpers, and you can see the kids eyes just light up. The thrill of sipping hot chocolate in a "mug souvenir", receiving a "silver bell" as a token of belief, and feeling like you are a part of the timeless tale, just seems to create magical memories.
Looks like I got here first.
ReplyDeleteSo, where or what kind of train was that Polar Express - it looked like so much fun. Your family is gorgeous, and I love their smiles.
Did you wear PJ's too?
You have very classy decorations. I love the gnome, reindeer pillow, and the berries in the vase.
Can't wait to see more!
I love trains, and have ridden one with the steam engine, here, 4 times, it has polar express but I have not ridden that one. this looks really good, I love the PJs and your beautiful family. your daughter and granddaughter look so much like you. I like the green tree, your home is ready for Santa and looking amazing.
ReplyDeleteAww, how adorable. I don’t know how I missed the Polar Express when my sons were little. It all looks fun. I like trains, too. The Sacramento Train Museum has a Polar Express but it’s sold out. 🚂
ReplyDeleteYour decor is amazing. You totally have a talent for interior design. Has your home ever been featured in a magazine? Your photos look professional. I can’t wait to see the rest of the house!
I did not even know this existed. What fun and how exciting it must have been! I love everything you put out, especially the little trees with the gnome. Can't wait to see more!!
ReplyDeleteHow fun that must have been. Having children around always brings out the magic in Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI've heard about the Polar Express ride. I wish there was one near us. Such fun!
ReplyDeleteYour house looks lovely!
This must have been a very special time. Making memories is so important.
ReplyDeleteNow I wish there was a Polar Express in central Alabama! Tom and I are a wee bit old, but perhaps having a silver bell would make us think otherwise? (lol)
ReplyDeleteYour family looks so great in their matching pj's, and I'm loving that new(?) photo of you and Sam on the sidebar.
It's a great story!
ReplyDeleteWhat great family memories. I'm so happy for you.
ReplyDeleteI love the group photo the matching pajamas!

That looks like great fun! Love all the jammies too! My kind of outing!
ReplyDeleteWow, Shug, what an exciting and memorable adventure that is. Our pastor's sermon last Sunday, coincidentally, was about belief and he used some clips from The Polar Express movie to emphasize his points. So good, it brought tears to my eyes. Again, you have a gorgeous family. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteOh, that sounds like a wonderful experience, Shug. I would be there in a heart beat, as you know I love trains. And The Polar Express is such a delightful movie. The golden tickets they receive is a special addition to the train ride. What a fun time for your daughter and family at Christmastime. Smiles all around. I love your decor in the living area, and that white picture frame is my cup of tea, love that. You have a great flare for decorating. Can't wait to see more!
