Family Christmas Games.

Today, I am going to share some family Christmas games, and explain how to play them.

Naughty or Nice Game:

Make the board using solo cups, tissue paper, a Naughty or Nice comment and a small gift.

After attaching the cups to a board, you insert (in random places across the board) the written  strip, and a small gift. You then cover the top of the cup with tissue paper and secure it with a rubber band.
continue until all cups are filled.

Have everyone draw a number from a hat.... numbers 1 through 16
depending on how many guest you have and how many times you have selected for them to draw.  You will need that many cups on the board.  They need to be able to punch at least 2 times to make the game work.
The person punches the cup, they read the slip of paper which determines if they are Naughty or Nice.
In the Nice cups, you put nice gifts.
Example:  gift card
      candy
         Bracelet
     cash
For the Naughty cups....
Examples:   coal
Bar of soap:  If you said a bad word
Mints:  If the slip you read says "you didn't brush your teeth"
Kleenex:  If the slip you read says  "you picked your nose"
milk jug lid: If the slip read says  "you've been drinking directly out of the milk jug"

Something that goes along with what the Naughty or Nice slip says.

At the end of the game.....Each person adds their points.
For those who have all Nice slips....they will get a candy bar or some other kind of gift
For those who have only one Nice slip.....they Might get a piece of gum
For those who have NO nice slips....they get nothing or a small bag of switches.

This was Tori....punching her cup in a different game that we played one year!!

**There are many ways to play this game...check out Naughty or Nice solo cup game on Pinterest.

🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄

Snowman drawing game:

You need paper plates and colored pens.

Set a timer for 2 minutes..... everyone takes a paper plate and places it on top of their head.
They then have 2 minutes to draw a complete snowman.......including scarf 🧣 hat 🎩 buttons ⛄️ arms, gloves 🧤 etc.
At the end of 2 minutes....everyone votes on the Best and most colorful Snowman.
This game is harder than one might think, especially when you lift a pen to change colors for the accessories.

AUCTION GAME:

My family played this game a few years ago and it was a lot of fun.

Monopoly money or some sort of play money. 💵  make sure you have 100.00, 50.00, 20.00, 10.00 and 5.00 bills
Each person gets $500.00 to make purchases.

Auction items....Examples:  a home baked cake or cookies 🍪 A candle...🕯️ garage sale items 👕 👜inexpensive purchased items ⏰ 🎛️. book 📚 large bottle of coke...🥤 etc.
Wrap the items and one at a time, the auctioneer takes bids on the first item up for bid.  The highest bidder gets the wrapped item.
Depending on the bid and how much money each person has left after making a purchase, it is possible that they can bid on more items.

It is up to the auctioneer to try to make them spend all their money by describing the gifts as (Awesome, Cool, Exciting..etc)    After each item is auctioned, another person can immediately purchase the item from the original owner.  An item can only be sold 2 times.

The kiddos LOVED this!!  This particular year, I had 7 bags full of odd and end Christmas clothes and other items.  They selected a bag....and they had two minutes to dress themselves using everything in their bag.

** they have used many of these different Christmas clothes throughout the years....like it they are having a Christmas party, or even in our picture a couple of weeks ago.  We just keep them in a storage container and bring it out each year.

Hope this has helped some of you that have asked about the games my family plays.
Happy Monday...
Shug..

These are simple games, but yet they can add a lot of laughter to your families Christmas gathering.

  5. How fun. Christmas sounds like a blast at your house. When my kids were young I started making up a new game every year that they could find under the tree along with a letter from Santa on how to play it. I got tired of them madly unwrapping gifts and it was all over in 5 minutes. The games made Christmas morning last a whole lot longer.
