Sam and I celebrated our 52nd Anniversary this past weekend. June 16th, 1972 is our wedding date, however....because it was also Father's Day, we celebrated Sat. the 15th.
Sam had secretly made reservations for us to have Breakfast at "Kiepersol" .....a beautiful, quiet, restaurant in our area.
I had no idea that he had made these plans, but, I was beyond excited. The above picture was a portion of our view while eating Breakfast. There is a lake just to the right side of our view, with trees, walkways and landscaping that makes this place so serene. This truly is an amazing place.....One of my favorites!
Their coffee is a speciality coffee and it tasted soooo good! We enjoyed just being able to sit and visit....and reminisce about the past years, while enjoying this great tasting brew.

We married on a warm June evening, and the church was decorated as an intimate gathering place for these two young souls, to share their love for one another, with family and friends.
Our journey has been rich with LOVE as we have always filled our home with love, laughter and unwavering support for one another. Our home has ALWAYS been Christ centered and so has our marriage.

After a very pleasing Breakfast, Sam and I made a couple of stops in town and then we came home and spent a few hours in the pool. Basking in the Sun and enjoying the cool temperatures of the crystal blue water felt so good. Once again, we enjoyed the quietness of the afternoon.
Sam was on the top of his game this day....He had made reservations at "Bernards" .....a mediterranean restaurant, where we would celebrate with a nice dinner.
As we were being seated at our table, I saw a stunning bouquet of a dozen red roses sitting on our table. Not only Roses....but a tall burning candle as well.
Second course.....Lobster Bisque
THEN.......
Rainbow Trout in a white wine sauce, served with cream potatoes and asparagus.
Did I mention that my rainbow trout was stuffed with a seafood dressing.
Both were so rich and delicious.
Oh my......Perfectly prepared.
We have had quite a ride in our marriage, and I wouldn't want to change a single thing. Here is to us and all the wonderful Memories to come!! This celebration was a tribute to our lifetime of love, endurance, and our unwavering commitment......which I consider to be a TRUE LOVE STORY!
Happy anniversary! You two are such a beautiful and dedicated couple! Your day looks so wonderful!! And I love your pool landscaping, it is so pretty. Just the two of you, that's the way to go!!

ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary! - 52 years is so special and wonderful. Your meal looks delicious, and the red roses was a thoughtful gesture. The first time I tried cream brulee was many years ago at a Christmas party, and I couldn't believe how good it was. Breakfast AND Dinner.....what a treat that must have been for you. And a sweet picture of you two to remember your special day.
