Happy March!!!!
I'm jumping for joy to have March roll upon the calendar. February was a very long month and while a day is a day.....the month change sure brings hope of things moving forward.
Today is election day here in the great state of Texas. Sam and I have already voted (thank goodness) and one can only hope that each citizen of the United States will do their duty and go out there and VOTE.
There have been quite a few days lately when I have had to repeat over and over again.....Psalm 46:10.
"Be Still and know that I am God"
When we face difficulties or when those we love come up against a constant flow of what seems to be negative energy......it becomes very challenging to understand the depths of this scripture.
"Be Still and know that I am God" means that we must Trust God to bring us to that sweet place of harmony in knowing that God is in control.
Any detour that God leads us on, is a path to bring out the good in us. It doesn't always mean that what we are longing for is going to lead to more closed doors.......it just sometimes means that God needs to get our attention before HE can move us further in the direction of HIS will for our lives.
There are two great wisdoms in this scripture....
ONE...."BE STILL" This means to gain PEACE. Rest in God and be willing to listen to HIS clear direction.
TWO......"Know that I am God"
God wants all things to be for our good. HE loves us and trusting HIM brings us to a place of complete harmony.
Hope you enjoy this beautiful day......
Shug....
Thank you for sharing these thoughts.I tend to stress about how things will turn out and I KNOW that all I need to do is trust God,He will work it out for my good and His glory.
ReplyDeleteHi Shug!
ReplyDeleteFebruary was a longggggg month! March brings new life, and lots of birthdays for me - 7 of my 10 grandchildren are born in March . . . it's crazy, one of St. Patrick's Day! But, it also brings a new season, new life, and hope. Psalms 46:10 is one of my favorite scriptures. We do need to just be still in God's love for us, have faith, and like you said, remember that He is in control. Life can be hard, but knowing that I have a loving Father, who knows me better than I know myself, who loves me unconditionally, makes it a little easier. Thank you for reminding me today.
These elections have been very strange . . . enough said!
Hugs,
Barb
Glad to hear you both voted. It DOES make a difference! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteHow could we possibly know from all the contenders in the election which one God feels is right for us. We do have to stop and have faith.
ReplyDeleteGood thoughts here. I certainly need to work on trusting God more. I tend to be a worrywart. Happy March to you!!
ReplyDeleteNeat four leaf clover shot. - I enjoyed your post.
ReplyDeleteSuch great thoughts.
ReplyDeleteI find it very hard "to be still"
a lot. I want answers now, now, now.
Happy March to you.

I do love that scripture. It is so reassuring to know that God is in control and we can turn to him for help and hope, even in the roughest times. Hope your week is going well. Have a good one!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful devotional and thought from you on these verses. My heart was encouraged as we pray daily for family members that are going through rough times, and those that see salvation.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing such a thoughtful and meaningful post.
