If I were the Moderator.....

Sitting here watching the Republican Debates.   I have many thoughts bouncing around in this head of mine.

If I were the moderator......My question would be:
Please define what "Moral Absolutes" is!!!!!    If the candidates fail in answering this question and if their campaign is full of reckless decisions, then they should be banned from running for the office of President.

Right is Right.......Wrong is Wrong!   And.....the Bible answers every single question regarding Right and Wrong!!

This nation was founded on Christian Beliefs.......and since the office that is being elected is President of the United States....I believe that the #1 foundation for their campaign should be based on Honesty and Moral Absolutes!!

Politics, appears to have become a stage for lies, distrust, name calling, cheating, back stabbing and most of all a selfish drive for many who places "self" above right and wrong.

Let me suggest to you that we ALL need to be on our toes and we need to seek God for the wisdom to vote for the Best qualified candidate!!  Best Qualified, based on their ability to seek God in the  decisions of running this Country!!!!

Hugs...
Shug

  1. Hi Shug!

Amen, amen and amen!! We really do need to turn to Heavenly Father to know what to do in this wonderful country we live in. Like you, I'm tired of the lies, the pompous, disrespectful attitude of a few (or one) of the candidates - I will be watching this one carefully, and praying for guidance!

    Hugs,
    Barb

  2. Great thoughts, Shug, but I don't see that being brought up in any campaign, unfortunately. We do need to pray for the right decision on voting.

  3. Hi, I watched the debate along with Fox News Coverage AFTER the debate... I thought CNN did a terrible job --trying to pit one candidate against another --in a personal way... Just drove me crazy. I am glad that some of the candidates opted NOT to play CNN's little game... It was disgraceful.

I do like quite a few of the candidates --and there are only a very few which I don't care for much at all. Last night, my favorite was Rubio... He's young --but oh how knowledgeable. I also like Carly --and thought she did a fantastic job overall. BUT--she needs to smile and loosen up a bit and get rid of the 'angry' look---even though I'm sure she is angry at what is happening in our country.

Huckabee did an amazing job last night ---and he is one who can bring God back into our lives/government... But---does he have a chance? I also like Carson --but debating is not his 'thing'... He's an amazing man --who can bring our country so much CALM and stability --which we need.

I am NOT a Trump fan --but many people are. He has some good ideas and is very smart. I just don't like the way he gets personal with his ugly thoughts and feelings about other people at times.. That is NOT very Christian... IF he would stick to the issues --instead of saying ugly things about other people, I'd like him much better. BUT--if he wins, I WILL vote for him.

Oh Well---there's still a long way to go before the election... The bottom line is that we need CHANGE in our country. This past administration has done more to destroy us as a country than it has to help us... We are in a mess.

    That's my TWO CENTS..... ha

    Hugs,
    Betsy

  4. Hi Shug, I quite agree with you and I also agree with most of what Betsy said about the debate last night. In a perfect world, we would see the kind of people that we would want to be president on that stage...all of them would be Christians and have the best interests of our country and people at heart. Some of them may be, some may not be. We do need to remember though that God can take people that perhaps we wouldn't choose and use them to fulfill his plans.

Have fun on your cruise! I would love to go on a cruise, but I'm afraid to try it because of my dizzy head. So I hope you take lots of photos to share with those of us who won't be cruising. :)
