Happy St. Patrick's Day!!
are you wearing Green? I'm not...not yet, anyways!!
Check this out.....
doesn't this look great? I came across this the other day on Pinterest. Get the recipe at the link below...
Isn't it fun to celebrate St. Patrick's day? The kiddos love it...and I remember, as a child, I had fun on St. Patrick's day too.
I think it was the "Pinch" thing that kept us all involved in the day. Got to wear the Green!
I must say....I'm not too big on the "Luck" word. I don't really want to disappoint anyone, but I just don't believe in LUCK.
Luck can be defined as: A force that delivers good or bad.
I prefer to believe that GOD is in TOTAL control of my life. NO force is going to determine my steps. God orders my steps daily and nothing but GOOD comes from HIS directions.
If I choose not to follow HIS will for my life...and I go off on my own, to search for LUCK...I can assure you that it will not be there!
Am I lucky if I win something??
I don't think so....I am simply BLESSED!!
Blessings flow all around me!
"For I know the plans that I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope"
Jeremiah 29:11
Warm Hugs to each of you!!

I say Amen to your post. I don't wear green simply because I am not a fan of green on me. LOL
ReplyDeleteNot wanting to get pinched, I always had to hunt for something green to wear because it is not often found in my wardrobe. We've really never made a big deal out of St. Patty's Day, but I know it's a fun day for many. Enjoy your day! (those cupcakes look scrumptious!)
ReplyDeleteI'm wearing lime green! You better put some green on before you get out! You might get a 'pinch'! Sweet hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteHi, Shugf...great thoughts on the "luck" thing. We have a Suds and Spuds party tonight for St. Patty's Day, so it will be fun. We have to take wine, as neither of us is a beer drinker. Proceeds from tonight go to Relay for Life.
ReplyDeleteI'm not big on Luck either... but did read today, about another take on 'luck' ...
ReplyDelete"seeing the positive in a very bad situation"
Now, I'm not much on superstitions either-- but like you draw strength and PROMISE from the LORD God himself.
so, when I think of Luck... I'm reminded--
To consider it PURE JOY whenever you face trials of many kinds. For it produces faith and endurance.
What IRISH, English, Native American,... red, yellow, black or white person... doesn't need that, right?
I know I need it!
Love your post today... so inspiring.
;)
I totally agree....there is no such thing as LUCK, it is Gods will if we/I have good fortune! Happy St Patty's a Day! ( no green here..cause we're just home alone!..However, since I'm part Irish I should be all green...lol)
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Gert
Great post, Shug.... YES--God is in control for sure --but I personally don't have a problem with saying that I'm a lucky lady... I'm also blessed... God is with me always....
ReplyDeleteHappy St. Patrick's Day. We were out-and-about ALL day and nobody hardly even mentioned St. Patrick's Day. We did wear green shirts though....
Hugs,
Betsy
My feelings exactly on LUCK. But it was fun as a kid wearing the green, and trying to find someone who forgot. We always had a party at school that was fun.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a great day
ReplyDeleteof green!
M : )
It was a beautiful St. Patrick's Day, wasn't it? I was outside or gone almost all day and I LOVED it!! The rain is back... but, I just keep telling myself we need it. I believe God is in control no matter what we tell ourselves about luck. ;) blessings ~ tanna
ReplyDeleteHi Shug, AMEN, I so agree with you on luck. We use that word too easy sometime. Luck can be sent from the devil too. I prefer blessings over luck coming from God knowing HE has a hand in my direction.
ReplyDeleteLovely post for St. Patrick's Day too.
Those cupcakes look so good.
Thanks for sharing.
Wishing you a great rest of the week and special new season ahead.
Hugs, CM
I agree with your sentiment on luck. God is directing out every step (thanks goodness).
